I can't believe you slept with somebody without knowing how much they're worth first... :)

Best not to mention that when i slept with him, i didnt even know his name then had i? :o
(my darling son is the result of a one night stand!!! we tried to make it work when i found out i was pregnant, but alas, it didnt cause we had nothing in common at all other than that one drunken, randy night!!!)
You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

£1500 is quite a bit to me. I would take home about £1000 in a month if I can get a month's work.

So £1500 is quite a bit to a lot of people.

My ex pays £30 per week for our 11 yr old son,he does have 2 other children with his fiancee.
My son stays with him fri & sat night every 3 weeks or so ,and for weeks at a time in school hols

he does contribute to scool uniform etc.

im assuming your ex knows how much ( little) you earn?!!

cant believe he has been paying you so little !! he has no one to support and sounds like he has an ok paid job !

you should add up how much your son "costs"
    all groups,food,clothing,childcare etc

    and show him !!!

As I put it to the CSa if they had took money from the ex when they should have when he was claiming JSA it would have been enough to take them swimming each month. The !!!!!!s went and quoted me on that when I took them to a tribunal for failing to deduct the money from his benefits.

Yes, I appreciate that, but you have quoted me out of context. It was in response to Acehole's comment re. his level of child support. I wasn't going to mention it, but my hubby pays £561 pcm for his daughter, which we always thought was high but reading this thread, it's very, very high! (And would be less if we could get on CSA1 :( )

    Hi Strapped

Surely you would be able to contact CSA and start paying through them? I would imagine that if it's the resident parents right to do it then it's also the non resident parents right too?

If not then I would refuse to pay anything - she'd soon be on to them then!!

  • hi vik,

you probably could get more but i'd be happy with the £35 if i were you - it's almost double what you were getting before so that's a pretty good negotiation :D

That IS through CSA. Sorry, I meant if we could get on CSA2 (we are on the old rules and ex also applied for a departure on the grounds that I could pay half the housing costs). It seems a lot to me, but it's what the calculation works out at apparently.
