Hello my beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all well. And enjoying the lovely weather. Did the weekly food shop this morning at a£di. It came to £61 . I have a few things I need to get from mr t which won't be more than £20
I'm having my hair trimmed later. Not sure how much it will be but I'm guessing no more than £30.. im also going to enquire about having it died at the end of the year close to my natural colour so I can just leave it too grow (I don't have any grey hair yet. But when I do I plan to embrace it when the time comes)
I've got an appointment tomorrow with my GP about my ankle after having a phone consultation yesterday evening. I've been wearing my Dr Martins to give me some more support when I'm not at work. (which is annoying in this heat tbh)
I'll update later with Tesco spends and hairdressers.
Have a good day everyone
Huge love and positivity to you all

£16 at hairdressers. I'm trying to grow it. I haven't been since Feb so was expecting to have to have quite a bit chopped off. She literally took mm's off. She said to keep doing what Im doing because my hair is in fab condition. I'm booked in again for Oct. I'm hoping regular trims will help it grow.
Other spends
£20 at Tesco on food bits
1.80 on a mug for work
£9 water bottles (so the kids have spare ones)
£20 on clothes for Ds2 (he needed shorts and t shirts)
£10 on a Lego set for the kids to do together
Dinner is in the oven. Kids are watching TV. Going to play some games with them after then it will be showers and bedtime
Have a good evening everyone

Hello my beautiful diary friends,
Sorry I haven't updated.
A few no spend days since I last posted
Also had my recent payslip which is the first one I've checked and im sure I've been under paid so it's a priority this weekend to check my other pay slips. As well as a few other things I need to get sorted on my to do list.
Weather isn't brilliant today so not much going on here. Feel like that's been the story for the last 6 months now 🙄
We plan to do a trip to the beach next week. We know a beach about an hour drive from here that even in the middle of summer holidays has a spot that is always quiet. Last year it was empty in the middle of August 🤣 we will take food and know where to park for free so wont cost anything apart from fuel for the car.
I really need to look at match betting again.
Also need to work out what sort of budget we are looking at. Regards a car. I'd like to have enough left over to pay for insurance and tax in full for the year
Anyway have a lovely weekend everyone
Love hugs and positivity to you all

Evening my Beautiful diary friends 🥰
No spend day today.
We all Went for a walk and OH played football at the playing fields with the kids.
Looked at the price of a lifetime national trust pass. If we were lucky enough to get 40 years out of it , it would make the annual fee half the price. But as I said I'm going to wai Lt for the world to go back to "normal" and see how much we actually use it. I'm currently trying to find free places we can take the kids out and / or for walks and picnics. Still researching that one. We are mid Wales now if anyone knows of anywhere but travel back to Worcestershire regularly 😁
Continuing no spend / low spend for the rest of this year to get as much as possible saved up for a car.
Then it will continue a little longer to get the loan gone 😁
I have a plan all written out on my phone which I need to copy onto a Google Doc so I won't loose it.
I also need to upload some more videos to youtub!
I don't feel like I'm drowning in things I need to do which makes a nice change.
I'm still working on using my time as effective as possible to allow the most quality time possible to spend with loved ones .. it's a work in progress.
Also continuing to work towards living with less .. living life more ♥️
Have a lovely evening everyone

Good afternoon my beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all okay ?
Only spend today is milk
A few months ago I cancelled my credit card .. after taking out the loan my credit rating has been shot. So I've taken out another credit card with my bank which wil be used for food and fuel each month and I'll pay it off in full at the end of each month in the hope to increase my credit rating.
I've also changed our monthly mortgage overpayment to go into a savings account and then we will make a lump sum payment of £500 each time we have £500 in there this will mean they will reduce our term for the overpayments. I'm not actually sure what making overpayments currently does for us other than the balance obviously reducing.
Since having the mortgage we have never made minimum payment 😀 which is good.
Anyway we are basically still continuing to reduce our spending and so far this month we have stuck to no spend .. (essentials only) which is great.
Im looking forward to seeing the car fund increase over the coming months .. and this time next year we will start paying to the loan and mortgage more.
I'll be glad to see the back of it all to be honest.
But I'm not loosing sleep over it. I have a plan and I'm sticking to it. ♥️
I can't wait to see those balances go down !
Anyway nothing else to report.
Have a good day everyone

Hi everyone I hope you are all okay.
Ive done some money shuffling and we have the money in the account ready for sept bills. I've also transferred £600 to the car fund. And should be able to transfer another £300 next week. Keeping me on track for my car saving goal.
Food shop tomorrow and I'll get fuel too.
I'm abit worried we won't be able to make whats left in the account stretch until the last day of the month. But I'm going to give it my best shot. I really don't want to take from the savings to see us through.
Fingers crossed we will be okay. Still two weeks left of the month. 😱
Have a good day everyone

Hello my beautiful diary friends,
I hope You're all well.
Busy few days , decorating eldests bedroom. We had already brought everything so budget left for the month wasn't effected.
DP did most of the work. I just helped telling him what was going where etc. I'll try to get some photos ..
Nothing else to really report. Was going to go to the beach tomorrow but weather doesn't look great so that will be something for another day.
Have a good evening everyone

Good evening my Beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all well.
Im feeling very tired today.
Did the weekly food shop (a few days late) £46 happy with that.
I have a full tank of fuel so that should last the rest of this month.
We went to the field by our house and flew the kite earlier with the kiddos and walked back through the wood on the way home.
Dinner is cooking .. currently catching up with the news.
House is reasonably tidy.
This week should be reasonably low spend. Food shop is about the only spend I think.
Have a good evening everyone

Hello my beautiful diary friends
I hope you are all well.
Things have stayed on track 😁
I added some stuff to my Amazon basket but removed it and didn't check out ! Very pleased with myself about that. It's so easy to shop online. Add things to the cart, checkout and just not think about it especially when you have had a few hard day's at work 🙄
I still need to work out this match betting lark. I really want to try and give the car savings a real boost. I have some annual leave after tomorrow ready for the kiddies going back to school.
The last few months have been really strange, like most we haven't done much compared to previous years at this time. But I'm greatful to be employed and in a job that is pretty secure. At the moment there aren't many who have this and I do feel very greatful to be in this position.
Im also greatful for the extra time that I've had with the children, the hours they would of normally been at school that I had to spend with them at home.
I'm greatful to the children's teachers especially Ds2 for keeping in touch and checking in with us during the school time seeing how he's doing and asking how we are.
I'm greatful that so far (and hopefully it stays that way) my family have not contracted coronavirus but my heart really does go out too those that have had it or knows someone who did and those that sadly passed away.
Having a secure job etc, though does not mean this has not effected me regarding money. I've definitely become more conscious about spending money, and conscious about the fact that things can change for anyone at the blink of an eye. It's made me realise what is important. (I always knew but this experience has definitely made it more real). I've became more resourceful again and and became conscious about our waste. Making sure things get used up especially food instead of ending up in the bin.
A few things I use to do , then got out the habit of
- making a list and adding up as I go when doing the food shop.
- buying cartons of juice.
- buying pre portioned snacks
- making sure I plan errands to maximize my fuel usage
- I've been buying a cheaper Giffgaff package the last 2 months.
- I've gone through all our outgoings and cancelled anything we don't use / need
- I've budgeted a smaller but realistic amount for fuel
- I've lowered the grocery / household budget
- I buy larger bottles of disinfectant or antibac and decant / water it down as directed into my spray bottle.
- I've stopped doing half loads of laundry
- I don't use as much detergent as they suggest (I've always done this)
- I use my clothes airers as much as possible instead of my tumble dryer
- we rarely have take out instead we do fakeaway at home
- I've been keeping the kids busy with free activities
- I cook multiple things at once instead of having a half empty oven
- some nights we have leftovers for dinner
- my son and partner wash the car
Things I plan to do over the next few months
- stop dying my hair !!
- check to make sure we are getting the best deals for our utilities and use a cashback site to swap.
- check cashback sites before I buy anything
- continue to only buy / pay for essentials - no / low spend
- save as much as possible towards a car. - really not bothered what we buy as long as it does the job for a few years
- sell unwanted stuff
- forage / yellow sticker shopping for food
- find as many free activities as we can to do with the kids
- get into a good pattern with our spending - continue with my financial plan
- repair clothes of mine before throwing them away.
- continue to live a more minamilist life
Just generally become more conscious and money savvy. There is always room for improvement 🙂
Have a lovely evening everyone
