I shop in aldi and the price has really gone up recently. My weekly shop used to be around £40 now it’s £55-70. I went to asda at half term as I had the FSM vouchers and I was so sad and angry by the time I left. I was on my !!!!!! skint trying to stretch the £30 with smart price everything and it felt like everyone else had massive trolleys full of brands and goodies, clothes, toys and ale. I am sure it was just in my head but because I felt awful I was hating me and the world.
Hugs to you.
Good evening my beautiful diary friends,
Thankyou for your on going support.. it means alot..
this morning me and my brother were texting and we were both saying how low we have felt this year. And have both realised how controlling our father is. Not just that but he has seen us both struggle this year. Has a mortgage paid off and is sat on about £100k in the bank but not once has he even asked if we need any help. Not even a bottle of milk or a winter hat for the kids. Etc. Neither of us have a relationship with our mum and we were both saying how after loosing nana it really feels like we only have each other and our partners and obvs for me the kids. In reality over the last 13 years I've lacked that parental guidance and support and that's been hard at times. Especially after becoming a mother so young. Generally I'm feeling quite low. And stressed. The financial situation we are in is causing me huge anxiety.. ill be glad when the last chunk of the fire is finally paid for so I know where we are money wise.
Eta we paid 50% of the fire installation etc ages ago before I went on sick. Which is why we are still getting it done.
Once paid for (they started installation today) I'll know where we are at. And might be able to breathe..
I'm hoping to go for a short walk tonight once the workmen have left. We will take hot coco for the kids to drink while gone.
I hope everyone is well

Good afternoon my beautiful diary friends.
So this morning I listed some wanted posts on my local free cycle. (All the kids have had a growth spurt so all need clothes in the next size up)
I collected a few little Christmas decs that someone listed on fb for free
And I've set up a local swap shop group. The idea is people swap items and no cash is exchanged. So we will see how it goes.
The group is for people in powys if anyone is interested i can send a link.June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460 -

Afternoon my beautiful diary friends.
Right so here is the situation. Non of my clothes fit. And all of my leggings have holes in so I'm currently wearing 2 pairs at a time where the holes are in different areas.
I've looked on fb and no one locally seems to have anything in my size I've also put up wanted posts. And I've looked on ebay but with postage it's working out like 15 quid for a t shirt before bidding has even started. 😅 so I'm going to pop to tesco and get a few basic bits from.there to see me through until I've lost weight..
If anyone has an recommendations for leggings (black for work) that don't end up with holes in on the crotch or inner thighs please let me know.. must be on line as our nearest decent shopping centre is about an hours drive . Thanks everyone ☺
I'll let you know what I come out with
When I get back I'm going to chuck all my clothes with holes and stains and list for sale the good stuff that's too smallJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20463 -

OK so I have quickly done the sums
To pay off half our debt by the end of the year this is how it breaks down
Council debt 600 (dd)
Loan 1914.36 (dd)
Which leaves 5085.64 left to pay off debts to meet our goal 50% of our debts paid off.
As I'm also trying to declutter. I also hope to make £3680 extra (overtime above 28 hours, surveys, selling stuff any extra on top of our normal income) but that's an odd number that's annoying me so let's round it up too ....
£4000 with £3700 being the initial goal.
I also plan to remove an item a day from my home. Which from today is 381 ... ill round it up to 400. This could be a big item or a pen and also includes sold items that have been collected.
Off to get stuff done round the house otherwise the day will be over again !
Will post again later with my overall goals for 2021 as I am going to officially start everything today.!

OK so so far today I've sorted out most of the dining room
I've listed some items for sale (about 10 items so far)
The kitchen is in a better state
And I've made a start on the lounge
Eta
18 items listed. 3 items have bids already (local bidding page on fb)
Lounge is looking better
Made a start on our room
Priority tomorrow is to do a skip run and sort out back garden (must wrap up warm)
I reckon I'll easily be able to list 30 items before the weekend but we will see.
Oh is currently sorting out the laundry. I'm determined to sort through our clothes and half the amount we have before the end of next year
I will completely set out my list of rules tonight. Although it is not yet 2021 I have decided to make a start on our new way of life as of today.
I want to give the kids the best life I can and I feel so suffocated by the debt I really need to make a dent in it.
What would you do with any extra money you make throughout the year ...
A . Make a payment to debt or savings as soon as you receive the money
B. Save the money and make a payment once a month
C. Save the money and make a payment at the end of the year
D. Something else ?
I'm thinking of saving it in a tin and making a payment in June (when we are looking at buying a car and making another payment in December

With the extra money I always paid it immediately off the debt and it always shocked me at the end of the month just how much I managed to pay off over and above budgeted amounts.
With the leggings I've always found Asda and Matalan to be decent, wash well too.
Most of all just wanted to wish you well with your 2021 goals, I'm sure your determination and perseverance will pay off. I hope your health permits you to achieve everything x3 -
Bit of a late reply 🤣 sorry @DancingInTheRain
