Hope your DP is better soon but I’m glad you’re getting better each day. Look after yourself because you need to be there for the kids whilst your oh isn’t well so that means eat!!!I’m living on SSP too... just think how rich we will feel when we have a wage again 🙂 and all those overpayments we can make! Its such a shame as you are getting stronger you partner becomes unwell. Hopefully he will recover quickly and you can continue your positivity.

Good afternoon everyone
So I would like to have a plan in place of exactly how much I am putting towards savings or a debt but I'm going back to work on reduced hours from the 17th of December. And until we know what my body can cope with we don't know what my long term nee hours will be.
But the plan is basically to do what we did last time we cleared our debts and reduce our outgoings as much as possible and every penny left over will go towards debt.
I'm going to get some stuff listed on fb and do surveys to try and add to the different pots. Also leaving my plum account untouched until next year.
I'll try and remember to add to my help to save account each month too.
By this time next year I want at least half the debt gone.
Jan 2023 is my debt free aim excluding the mortgage.
But I'm going to change the plan that I had. Which I will finalise tonight.
Have a good day everyone. No spend day here

Also I'm back doing surveys.
I'm going to list some stuff on fb
I'm leaving my plum account alone acting as if it doesn't exist.
And I've been entering fb competitions
All of this will go towards Christmas next year
I'm hoping I can fund Christmas without realising it. If I can make £20 a week in fb sales and surveys thats £1000June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460 -
Good afternoon everyone
I've done my last big spend of the year. I got some Christmas decorations for the house.
One rule I have made for next year that I will stick to is that I am going to try and source things second hand and only buy things new if I really have to.
Our local town has a uniform swap so I'm hoping to get their uniform from their in sept with anything that needs replacing . I also need to get ds1 a new rugby top for pe so I will see if they have one there that will fit him.
Ds1 needs new clothes. I'm going to put a wanted post on fb and see what I can source. I also need some storage boxes to store the new decs after Christmas.
I'm mainly chilling today but tomorrow I'm getting areas of the house done that normally get forgotten about.
I need to order the food shop tonight .. I might do that now while I remember.June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460 -
Good evening everyone.
Okay so this year has just been a complete bullsup. We are in a worse place now than we were 12 months ago financially. And this year started out not too bad too.
Going to a lower pay job didn't help.
Neither did being on sick pay
Or spending on stupid !!!!!!
But I am getting anxious again about our financial situation. Especially since the lower hours mean we will be about breaking even without saving or paying off any of our debts including very ... and I will not pay them the 40% interest they charge so ...
The rules for 2021 are quite simple.
Use what we have
Keep things minimal
Sell as much as possible
Make any extra money I can where possible.
Stick to the budget!!
If we do need something find it secondhand first
And do NOT spend any money unless it is essential 👌
I'm obviously hoping I'll be able to go back up to my normal hours as soon as possible. But we will see. Hopefully if I keep on top of my meds ill be okay.
I'm so angry with myself. And I feel so wasteful.
2021 is going to be a better year all round for me I really believe it will be the year I truly grow as a person more than I ever have before. Gain a few pounds in the bank and loose a few round my waist
I've been through the budget at its at its bare bones. There is nothing else we can cut back on..
We have agreed that after Christmas we are going to go back to doing our shop at a>di because as@a is costing us a small fortune and doing it online we get sent alot of stuff that's out of date 2/3 days after delivery which is no good when you are doing a 7 day shop. Also Meal planning and taking a list 😌 it worked for us before
I genuinely think next weeks shop will be about £30 and I'll go to aldi for that one as we really won't need alot. Mainly fresh bits and a bit of frozen
I'm hoping next year we can do a food shop for no more than £60 a week.
One thing I will get is washable bed mats for the younger kids beds because the disposable ones are costing me a fortune....
If we can get our food shop down to £60 a week that will save us around £100 a month compared to currently. And I must remember to take our own bags !

Oh don’t be so hard on yourself. 2020 went tits up for me too! Like you I am feeling positive for 2021... we have to to get through it.I shop in aldi and the price has really gone up recently. My weekly shop used to be around £40 now it’s £55-70. I went to asda at half term as I had the FSM vouchers and I was so sad and angry by the time I left. I was on my !!!!!! skint trying to stretch the £30 with smart price everything and it felt like everyone else had massive trolleys full of brands and goodies, clothes, toys and ale. I am sure it was just in my head but because I felt awful I was hating me and the world.I hope your health keeps on the straight and narrow. Look after your mind as well as your body and you’ll do just fine. XxMortgage started August 2020 £69,700
