Health/ fitness update - day one

Okay so we already have an exercise bike. So I did a mile and a half on gear 1 on that .. I pushed myself until I knew I couldn't do anymore.

And I did Joe wicks youtube work out .. its a beginners one which is 30 seconds work out and then you rest for 30 seconds. Half way through the kids decided to join in. With there incouragement I managed to push through till the end.
And I've drank and litre and a half of water so far today !
I feel more awake than I did ! But boy I ache I've took all the painkillers I can for today 😩 and I know it seems really small to some of you lovely lot but I'm so proud of myself.

When I woke this morning today was already quite a good day for me considering how I have been over the last few weeks. But even when I'm having a bad day I will do something even if its simple chair exercises.

I'm thinking of maybe logging my progress on my YouTube  .. and or making a new Instagram account.. because there has got to be lots more people like me in the world ..  and I believe we should encourage all ...

  • Sending you lots of positivity & luck. I've read your diary off and on for a while and never cease to be amazed by your resilience, focus & determination.
You're so inspiring and I truly hope you find a workable balance with your health.
Oh and well done to DD and being potty trained! 👏👏 X
  • Morning my beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all well.
Its wet and miserable here this morning.
Spoke to gp yesterday. I've been signed off for another month. I think my manager is wanting me back 🤔 and I want to go back. So we are going to figure out a plan for when this sick note ends. Tbh with the way the world is at the moment im just relieved I still have a job to go back too.

Anyway I have a few jobs to do today that means leaving the house. I've left the house less than a handful of times since this started in September so as you can imagine my anxiety is extremely high. But if I don't do it my anxiety will just continue to get worse as it has done. I will probably take oh with me but make sure I'm the one leaving the car.

Food shop being delivered today it was about £70 I think  , I will have to check.

I ache alot today.  But I have done short workouts the last 2 days .. I'm giving myself £1 for each day I work out to go towards gym equipment etc or a spa day .. just a little treat to myself to tell myself well done . Mjght help keep me motivated.
Got a lot to do today. Nothing too strenuous but I'm determined to get it all done. And have a good day today. Even if I end up in bed the same time as the kids tonight 😴

Have a good day everyone will update later

Love hugs and positivity to you all

    Thankyou @DancingInTheRain

  • Hi everyone,
Today has been a better day today.
This morning I was in a lot of pain and feeling very low in mood, I just wanted to burst into tears.
Anyway, at 10am I decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and do my little workout/yoga/physio/prayer. I was hurting so much after but I felt better mentally and for the rest of the day I plodded along slowly getting things done. And although I am now really fighting tiredness I am determined to stay awake until the kids are in bed.
I feel much better for getting a few things done.
I have made a list for tomorrow to work through and hope to be up early before the kids to make a good start on things.

Hope everyone had a good day.
For those that are struggling I'm sending extra hugs and love. Tough times don't last but tough people do and whatever is happening things will get better.

Love hugs and positivity to you all

  • Morning my beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all well.
@South_coast ... its something my family use to say to me growing up ... especially regarding the tough times of my cerebal palsy. :) its something that I still say to myself now at 28!

I'm very tired this morning. I got up at 5 due to pain. Took my tablets. Had a snack size breakfast as I'm not very hungry.
I've done one load of washing this morning which is on the airer drying.
I've already drank 750 ml of water. And I did 20 minutes of working out (just some exercises that I put together myself.) Will try to do another 2 miles on the exercise bike later.
    I'm feeling more positive today.
The boys have gone to school and dd is just watching some TV.

Going to do a few more jobs. Hoping I can get through today without needing to have a sleep.

I took measurements of my body today
I also weighed myself as its now been a week since I last weighted myself. But its only day 4 of eating better and doing some exercise. According to the scales I'm now 11 stone 5 lb

Thats a 5lb gain...but it was last night, I had just had dinner so not very accurate.  So I'm going to re weigh myself tomorrow morning as soon as I get up as that was when I weighed myself a week ago and for accuracy I need to weigh myself the same time everyday ideally. So hopefully I remember to do it first thing in the morning.

Going to get some more crossed off my list today

    Have a good day everyone.
I'll update later with how the day went

Love hugs and positivity to you all

  • Body measurements (I forgot to do it on day one)

Waist 39 inches (level with belly button)
    Chest 40 inches
    Thighs both 25 inches
    Bottom 42 inches

As much as I'm focusing on weight.. I'm kind of focusing on measurements first. Mainly because I'm trying to gain muscle and strength back.

  • Morning / afternoon everyone
    Hope everyone is well..
We have had a few tough days.
Dp has symptoms of covid so waiting for a test to arrive in the post today.
Dd has been really constipated but I'm hoping after a few rough days and lots of medication she is over the worst of it.

I've done an extra grocery order for birthday cake , wrapping paper etc for ds2 birthday. His birthday is 4 days away and I doubt we will have the results by then to be able to go and get the stuff. Presents already brought they are hidden upstairs.

I still haven't gone through the Christmas presents. And I want to get a wrapping paper organiser thing this year so the paper doesn't get damaged when stored. That way we can keep using it until it runs out and won't waste half a roll from it being damaged. I also need to sort 3 last Christmas presents and cards.

I'm hoping to cut back in some areas even more.. ill put that money to the car fund and then to very and then to the loan

I'll do updated balances on the last day of this month

  • Day by day I seem to be getting stronger again both mentally and physically. Hoping for a good night sleep tonight (between checking on DP and kids)
Hoping to squeeze a workout in tonight and in the morning.

DP was took into hospital early hours and discharged this morning after xrays and tests. Hes been told to take pain killers and rest. But he has an irregular heartbeat at the moment which is worrying.
Kids are off school as DP earlier in the week was showing symptoms of covid so waiting on his test results
Another one of my teeth broke last night thats the 3rd one in about a month but partner said I'm grinding my teeth more at night recently .. have an appointment in Dec with the dentist.

I haven't eaten much in the last 2 days.. things have been abit stressful 🙃 😪  currently forcing down a salad.. really trying hard to not slip back into bad habits. I don't really binge. When I'm stressed I tend to not eat. Which isn't good either

I haven't lost any weight yet! I've actually gained a few pounds..

Anyway nothing to really update on money wise. Still plodding  along while I'm on ssp

Take care everyone.. love hugs and positivity to you all
