  • Hello my beautiful diary friends,

Thank-you South Coast. I'm staying positive.

I had my wages today which was partially ssp.

I have some cover with my union which I will claim at the end of my sick leave. It will be £12.50 for each week I'm off of sept and Oct and if I need further time off will be £25 from November I can claim it for a total of 51 weeks if I need to  . Its not loads. But it's not to be ungrateful for it all adds up. This is on top of my ssp.

I'm still feeling really tired. But my pain relief is somewhat working. Which is good news

    No spend day today :)

    Have a good evening everyone.

  • Hi guys just a quick update. Due to financial reasons we have decided to get a small car when we buy one next year.

I have found a make and model I like and ill be looking at around £400 a year for insurance so I'll be able to insure and tax it for the year when we buy it if all goes well.

I'll be looking at anything between £2000-£4000 to buy it. Ill also get a new car seat for my little girl when we buy it as she will be due to do into the next size up then.

So overall I think I'll be looking at around £5k

    Xxxx

  • Hello my beautiful diary friends,

Unfortunately I don't receive high rate mobility so cannot get a mobility car..

We have continued to be frugal (very frugal actually) so we have not had to use savings since I have been off sick to cover bills. My last pay was partially normal pay and partially ssp.

Obviously we will continue to be as frugal as possible over the coming weeks and I plan to keep things that way into the new year.

We have the fire being done in November

The builder has been in touch and has some plaster to finish dds room hopefully also in November

Once all this is paid for we will get the roof done. So the savings will take a hit then. We have money from the loan to cover most of the cost (hopefully all).

Once dds room is plastered we will paint and carpet it (last owners ripped out the carpet after we viewed the house before we moved in).

So hopefully by Christmas a good chunk of the house will be done..
After all this has been done there are 3 major house renovations / projects i want to save up for.
    1. Bathroom
    2. Extension/ new kitchen
    3. New kitchen if extension doesn't get approved

We will decorate the lounge and dining room Once the fire has been fitted  and decorate the hall and finish the stairs

  • Hello my beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all well.. I can't believe its been nearly a month since I last posted. Not a lot to update on we are still pushing through.

I have some stuff to do I've been putting off which I really need to do. Its things that will take less than half an hour sat at my laptop but like everything recently I just keep putting it off.

Health wise things aren't any better so I don't think ill be going back to work at the beginning of December like I planned unless a miracle happens. Maybe the Lord will answer my prayers. My faith in him is what is keeping me going at the moment.
I have some money shuffling to do today as well.
House wise oh is doing well to keep on top of things with me helping where I can.

I need to go through the fridge and see what we can freeze I did a big shop last week but we haven't used as much as we normally would. I'm also getting better at using up leftovers which is a positive step.

Going to finish watching this film and then get the stuff done on my laptop I've been putting off.

    Have a good day everyone

  • Good afternoon everyone
Okay so I'm writing this here for record

Weighed myself the other day ..
11 stone.. my about 4 foot 11 .. so that puts me in the obese category...

If that wasn't scary enough  I'm getting out of breathe faster ..  using my inhaylers more.

Obviously in Sept my health declined. I've really struggled  on bad days I'm lucky if I can stay awake for 3 hours in a 12 hour period. Luckily partner is at home to have the kids.
My muscles are weaker. My body is weaker and I'm slipping into a depression ...

Time to stop finding excuses  .. and sort my !!!!!! out ... because at the moment I have this deep fear that if it doesn't change I will die.. that may sound drastic but its a fear that is genuinely scaring me

So here I am day 1 .. my water bottle is filled. The veg for the 3rd day in a row is in the steamer for dinner and I am about to do as much of a joe wicks youtube workout as I can.. if I last 1 minute thats okay ... we all have to start somewhere....

Wish me loads of luck guys because I'm going to need it !

Love hugs and positivity to you all xx
