No they are not.

After ten months of daily clicking to try and rid us of the scum that trade on the names of legitimate debt charities, my sig, that was a result of this, has now been removed without explanation. :mad: I found out just after frantically clicking on some s***s who had a paid link related to MSE. Oh, the irony.

This comes up when you search martin lewis, any one want to help stomp it?

Anyway, I'm pretty annoyed and just wanted to rant a bit. The fact that I don't post on DFW so much anymore doesn't mean I'd stopped caring.

This has to be one of the stupidist threads I have ever read and I could not help posting a reply. Lets get a couple of things straight people:

1. Clicking on Ads shown by Google is a complete wasted of time. I used to advertise my products on Google and they have sophisticated click fraud filters that (for example) log you IP address and if you click on an add more than once the subsequent clicks are not charged to Advertsisers. Looks like somebody has wasted 10 months of their life? It is also regarded as fraud by Google and although rare some people have been prosecuted.
2. Martin Lewis :money: is not some God - you make me laugh going on about protecting his good name! The guy is a MULTI million and earns an absolute fortune from this site alone. The whole site is just and elaborate marketing machine. Everyone is encouraged (through newsletters as well) to switch providers / take up special offers - pizza hut etc etc etc. Everybody that takes up these promotions earns Martin commission - yes lots of it! Probably around £30 for everyone that applies for a credit card.

I doubt that this message will get past the Martin machine but come on guys - get real!!!

pinksox, I think you'll find your post has been a waste of time.

By clicking on the links we did, we got rid of them from the top of googles and yahoo's search pages leaving the official CCCS website at the top. It may only register one click per person but thousands clicked it so stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Explain to me how that is a waste of time?

And as for protecting Martins name, CCCS has nothing to do with him. I honestly have no idea what you are on about.

Oh and it's well known Martin makes money from affiliate links. Have a look at this link from 'god' himself. He doesn't try to hide it.
