As another possible line of attack, I believe that their competition/prize draw to win a Sony home cinema system breaks UK competition and gaming regulations, as it should have a specified method for people to request to receive details of the winner of the competition (to prevent unscrupulous organisations from having compos like this where nobody actually wins ... not that I would suggest that they would do anything like that, of course, honest upstanding business-people that they are ..)For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also ...0 -
Are we still doing this?
I just looked up "CCCS" on google and found payplan and UK-DebtConsolidation as the sponsored links.0 -

signac Payplan are not a charity they are a commercial organisation.
CCCS launched the IVA program they do to stop people getting conned by unscrupulous companies. They should not reccomend it unless they feel a DMP is not suitable.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
We do in fact have an IVA company linked to the charity called CCCSVA this has been running for almost a year. We have to charge fee’s for IVA’s due to the cost to setting one up. Any further money that is made is put back into the charity, much the same as ‘fair share’ contributions on a DMP. This is needed to keep the charity running and offering much needed support and advice to distressed families and individuals.
The charity still offers free impartial advice and the only way a referral can be made to CCCSVA is by one of our trained counsellors. The counsellor will make the decision to refer based on individual circumstances so if an IVA in not applicable no referral will be made and another option will be discussed.
We always look at the best option for the individual.

CCCSI am a Debt Counsellor that works for the CCCS and have specific permission from Martin, to post on these boards to try and help those in debt. Read more information on the CCCS and what it does in the Debt Problems: What to do and where to get help article.
CCCS is a registered charity, and there is no charge whatsoever for any of the services we provide to our clients. We take great pride in offering first class help and advice, but we only offer this where we have been able to fully explore and understand your circumstances with you. We want to help you understand these choices and their possible implications but not make them for you.0 -

Mmm! I noticed that signac did one post and ran!! . Looks like he just joined to try and cause problems  .
Had a look at Employee Debtline and this is what they advise about IVA's
Do I have to pay for this service, or any other costs?
We don't charge you any fees since these are agreed with and paid by your creditors as part of the IVA. Providing you keep to the agreement, any debt you can't afford to pay will be written off by your creditors at the end, and there is nothing further to pay.
!!!!!!!!!  excuse me no they f@@king don't!!!
Another option they recommend is Debt Consolidation
In the FAQ section I found.....
¤your credit rating is unaffected, so your ability to borrow money remains in tact
andCan I use the loan for more than Debt Consolidation?
Absolutely. Consolidating your existing debts allows you to free up money for other things. You can borrow extra for a new car, a family holiday, or even a new kitchen. The important thing however, is that you don’t borrow more than you can afford, otherwise you could end up having problems again. Well at least they tell us
And they talk about Re-mortgaging AAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!
Well the DMP and Bankruptcy info looks in the FAQ looks normal but I must admit to only scan reading it. Toddler and baby needed attention.
