  • Sorry you obviously know more about than I do - I only have 10 years of online advertising experience. I could tell you how SEO / natural ranking has nothing to do with clicking on Ads but you obviously know that already.
Your heart is clearly in the right place but trust me you are going about it all wrong...don't underestimate the power of Google!

Don't apologise. I know more than most people. :)

This isn't about google. It's about companies trying to profit off of the CCCS's name.

They have a set budget for so many clicks through the advertised part of google (as I'm sure someone with your experience is aware of). Our objective was to spend their budget as quickly as possible to remove them from the top of googles (and yahoo's) search page. We achieved this very very quickly.

Do not underestimate the power of a DFW. ;)

Run away, little troll! And take your 10 years of online advertising experience with you. (Incidentally, what experience is that? Viewing ads?)

This thread has forced some of the most reprehensible companies in this country to rethink their advertising policies. I call that power. And we will keep on making debt vultures rethink their policy as long as they attempt to exploit the vulnerable in this way.
  • There seems to be some confusion here so here is lesson one in PPC advertising...it's been a while so bear with me lol!
    • Google log your IP address (in fact they monitor almost everything you do on the net and have data bases full of information on everbody's activity - they make the CIA look like amateurs and know where you live / how old you are / what you buy online) and if you click on an ad again (even the next day) they will not charge the advertiser for the click. They monitor how long you stay on the site (bounce rate is a great way to identify click fraud) and how many pages you visit. Google make billions from online advertising so trust me they are well ahead of you guys!
    • Clicking on PPC ads has no impact on natural listings. Natural listing are determined by a miriad of factors (working it out would be like finding the holy grail) but content / relavency / popularity / metatags / images / blogs etc etc etc all have an impact. Just to clarify you cannot fool Google - do you honestly think you can manipulate page rank and destroy their billion dollar empire? Trust me you have not spent advertising budgets and you have not influenced page rank.
Anyway I am sure you will shoot me down and I could go into it in far more detail but I'll leave you to it....happy clicking!

Not in a position to debate the rest, but someone obviously hasn't heard of Google Bombing...

And incidentally, SOME of us have access to non-static IP addresses and hundreds of machines... ;)

Hmmm, I need a new sig...

Thanks for drawing attention to this thread again, Pinksox. I'm sure a lot of people who had forgotten all about it will now remember and start clicking again :)

I couldn't give a toss what Google 'knows' about me. The second they try and actually use that information I'll have them under the DPA (which I know extremely well). If they know all about me and where I live, I'd be happy for them to sue me for 'fraud'. I mean, what are they going to take? My debts? :rotfl:

We're not talking about natural listings, the only person here who is confused is you. Hang on, I'll spell it out for you. We. Are. Talking. About. PAID. Listings. Not. Natural. Ones. And we're not trying to bring down Google, we're trying to stop certain companies using certain stategies to advertise on Google. Given that a lot of the companies we have targeted have subsequently changed their advertising policies, I'd say we're having a pretty big impact on those particular advertisers.
  • I am sensing some hostility here so I will bid you goodbye - beleive it or not I am actaully on your side and could even tell you how to do it properly (well for about a month before Google spotted it) however I would never condone click fraud. Good luck anyway guys!
