  • Yes, Need2bthrifty, all those things will make gaining weight all too easy, unfortunately.

Thanks for the welcome, Sirens, you have done well this week!

Thanks, too, Brambling for your welcome, I am so glad I found you all here, I think it is a great place for mutual support. (A lot better than going to Slimming World or something like that, which has never suited me, somehow.)

Weds is a good day to weigh in and you should have undone any holiday damage by next week. I might choose Weds too.

In a day or two, if it isn't too boring, I could tell you my weight loss stories?

DundeeDoll, you have eaten well today, I did chuckle at the image of two proper chocolate eclairs being consumed.

Wow, seeing the roundup of everyone's achievements so far this month is awe-inspiring - well done everyone!

Well done Honey a nice steady loss all challenge you're almost there :)

FrugalLina please share your weigh loss stories I'm sure most of us can relate and match most of them  I was the preteen with puppy fat who was told it would disappear once I reached my teens, I'm still waiting and I'm a long way past my teens :o

I realised I hadn't updated my own weigh loss from before I went on holiday , so please check I haven't missed yours

Lazy day for me no work until Monday, so just catching up on stuff indoors and holiday washing

    B - banana and grapes
L - black bean burger and salad
D - puy lentils with diced vegetables, mackerel fillet and green beans
    S - pear

  • Wow, that is great, Honeythewitch, well done!

Brambling, your food yesterday looks really good and on point.

I will do my weight loss stories soon (dealing with the shame and feelings of failure at the massive weight gain), but in the meantime, I thought I would share something funny, first. A friend of mine told me about a book called The Obesity Code. She is lending me her copy, but I thought I would look it up on Amazon and read about it. It sounded good so I checked out the reviews and this one made me laugh:

I know it's no good saying you shouldn't feel like that FrugalLina, as I've been there done that and not fitted the tee shirt :o.

I went to an introduction to Tai Chi workshop this afternoon and think I will give his classes a go, he seemed to cope with my lack of coordination. I went with my sister so we walked from hers to add 10000 steps

I had to leave home at 1pm so had a brunch of fruit and Greek yogurt at 11.30. Dinner was crispy smoked tofu in a coconut and peanut sauce with rice, green beans and spinach. I'm currently watching Strictly and trying really hard not to eat

Thank you Frugalina. There is no shame in gaining weight at all. Fair enough, it is a good idea to be as healthy as you can, but how you feel is far more important. Be kind to yourself while you are losing. :)

    Today I have had

    Bacon eggs beans W toast.

    Peaches. Plums.

An exceptionally large and creamy slice of chocolate sponge cake while we were out. (I could have left some of it, but needless to say, I ate every scrap. :D)

A bag of peas in the pod while watching television. (I would rather have had crisps )

    Hi Katie_j. welcome

There's three weeks left to this challenge so you can either set a mini target just let me know what it is or If you need to think about it you can just post and let me know when your ready to log your weigh ins :).

As you can see we're a lovely supportive group on here

DundeeDoll. Hope you enjoyed the cider and chips :) sometimes you need to go out and enjoy yourself and s*d the diet, otherwise it's easy to completely fall off the wagon
