A bit of a rant!!!
Just wanted to share, had chat on phone with friend y'day, SW came up and she quote another old school mate who she claimed lived SW life, well sorry I got hoping mad, told she has a whole back bacon med with two eggs tin bean and sausage most breakfasts, oh thought I not much SF there, then it came the thing so many folks say, that people can eat however much they like in a day, well yes says I if on plan, but she piles her plate to over flowing I was told....she eats like a pig. having explained the idea of balancing out protein with more veg etc and the cutting back on fats etc and watching carbs I frankly just gave up when she got to chips and mushy peas, my last shot was my weight loss, then but about 16 lb back on and knew the only way was to get back on SW.
Well I am afraid the idea of this person assuming that SW was all about eat all you can eat till you bust quite annoyed me, and I just wondered how you cope if you get told this, it just seems like some folk give the wrong impression and it really rattles me.
For me it is a journey which has seen me loose over 4 and half stone - then gain some - I would and do sing it's praises to everyone - hence me getting annoyed
Forgot to mention the chips are from the chippy when they have come back from the WI sort of thing they go to weekly, and when asked how much weight she had lost was told she still looks the same0 -

Absolutely agree, although I know roughly what I have in the freezers. My under counter one is organised as in veg in top drawer, meat in middle drawer and fish & odd bits in bottom drawer - things like lollies & ice cream (although not often!).
Change of plan for lunch as DD1 phoned to say she was coming over so we had burgers & onions in bagel! Glad she didn't say she was coming to dinner as changed that from lamb to duck breast! Only meal as my original plan was breakfast!
Vegastare - I try not to get annoyed about things like that, life's too short. I'd just say something like "she might think she's doing SW but she'd not following the plan properly" and leave it at that.

5 Pound loss this week0

Wow Sleazy that's a brilliant loss! As PIB says what did you do differently this week?

Hi everyone. Still here plodding along with Sw.
I'm just about to make 2Cc's Hawaiian pizza pasta bake. I love their recipies, they always turn out well. I wish they would do a book like PON.
There will be some syns in it as I'm using tinned pineapple but, as a target member, I won't be counting them (oh the guilt)
Got a manic week this week with trips up and down the country for various things so have made some couscous bites from the PON book to take. They are yummy and I have also chopped up lots of salady buts so I can just pack and go.
I really must find time to weigh in their week as I'm fairly sure I'll be losing access to the app if I don't. Hopefully I'll have done ok and will still be in range.
That pudding looks lovely Bubbs xx0 -

I cut back on crisps and wine but not completely.
Wetherspoons brekkie was just 3 coffees and no food.
Unless I was very hungry didn't have lunch.
Watched what I ate at night.
I had a major syn day yesterday
Back on track today 😀0 -

I've worked out that you get removed from the site after 8 weeks. I think I've got about two weeks (or less) to go before I have to bite the bullet. Good luck midge.
I know what you mean vegastare. My original consultant was very fond of saying 'fill your boots' with free food. I used to cringe every time she said it. For me SW means that on EE you should have a third of all your food as Speed. So the more free food you have then the smaller the proportion of Speed becomes. That's my logic.;) My particular bugbear is people who call SW a diet. They tend to go at it 'bull at a gate' and then fall off the wagon spectacularly as they feel deprived being on that diet. Excuse the mixed metaphors but I'm sure you all know what I mean.:D
All prepped for dinner and portions of swede & carrot mash just cooling for the freezer. I'll top today's one with grated Parmesan (HEA2) as I like it with crust.0 -
Think I'll stick with my 3 proper meals a day Sleazy! I couldn't survive with just coffee for breakfast and then no lunch and an evening meal! I had already retired when I started SW so have had the time to cook 3 times a day, although of course quite a lot of what we have is HM ready meals from the freezer so I don't have to cook every meal now. We rarely have just a sandwich for lunch and only occasionally something on toast. So think I'll just stick with 0.5 or lb a week!
I agree with you Maman about the fill your boots thing! My consultant is actually quite good in that she usually starts with start by filling your plate with a third of Speed food, then add your Protein food and finally your carbs, if you're having them which to my mind is the right way to think about about although I definitely don't put the veg on first as it would be cold by the time everything is on the plate, LOL!
Never had a crust on swede and carrot mash but sounds nice. Don't have this very often as DH isn't keen. No idea why because he likes carrots & he likes swede but just not together! Sounds daft to me but we all have our oddities!
Hope you manage to get to WI sometime this week, I dread to think how I'd cope without having online access!
