WI with loss of 1.2lb pleased with that as succumbed to nibbles the kids had at their teachers goodbye ‘party’ while watching Mary Poppins. Kids watching, staff clearing classroom and boxing up resources as moving classrooms. Got massive bruise on shin where full box of books fell on me :(. Monday will be spent rearranging new classroom :( whilst keeping kids occupied!
Not looking forward to predicted temperatures next week, classrooms get really stuffy even with doors and windows open, everyone gets tetchy too!

Have a good weekend all, hopefully the forecast isn’t as bad as they predict for thunderstorms. :A
:T:T:well done, they all broke up here Friday

Hi folks, I've decided to re-start SW...for the umpteenth time....I've gained almost 3 stone since my wedding 6 years ago and I do not look of feel good. Wish me luck please!

I'm starting the plan tomorrow, with the help of hubster. I need to lose 4 stone really to be healthy (and I know deep down I need to do this, as I have high blood pressure and a family history of heart problems)

Think I lose all that before the end of the year?

Well done on all the losses :).

We had friends visit for the day from overseas, she is also following SW, he is a bit reluctant. So spent best part of yesterday cooking lots of S W food, mostly from the Free Food On The Go book. It was yummy! I made the Mexican sweetcorn salad, Sweet & Sour chicken skewers, Chicken tikka rice salad with raita, Crustless mini quiches. Also the beetroot/chickpea dip, with cucumber slices and pieces of wm pitta for dipping, a green salad, and LM sausages. And for pud I had made a trifle with 2 diff coloured jellies and fruit, plus a Muller/yogurt topping. I think we were all very pleased how well we were eating without doing any damage :D.

I think I have broken my airfryer . Would not turn on, noticed it was in a puddle of water on my worktop, not sure how that happened. Will get OH to look at it tomorrow. And did my LM sausages in the oven in the end :o.

Welcome! I started SW halfway thru Jan and have lost 4st in 6 months :D, with a couple more to go hopefully. Going to group has been eye opening and very helpful and this thread is great for support and questions too. I only went to buy the books but won the raffle in my first week and felt obliged to go back the following week and I haven’t looked back. You can do it too!

That was me last night but not at this time in the evening! I didn't start drinking until dinner time around 6pm.

Straight back on plan today and for the rest of the week and hopefully still a loss.

Some good losses today. Well done!:T

Welcome liz. :) I'd echo what Denise said about going to a group. Just going once will cost you a tenner and it'll refresh your memory about SW. Meantime just ask anything you want to know.

We're just home from the party. It wasn't the sort of party to take things but I managed to stay fairly low syn. I ignored the sandwiches and made up a plate of prosciutto, smoked salmon, leaves and tomatoes. Syns were in a couple of bits of quiche, some coleslaw, a few crisps and olives. Plenty of berries for pudding (no cream) and I gave my birthday cake to DH. :D

So I'm pleased and if I get peckish later I've got ham and cottage cheese to snack on. :)

It would be possible to lose 4 stone by Christmas but you'd need to lose 2.5lb per week!

Welcome Liz3y! Four stone is a lot in under six months, don't forget that you need to allow yourself to live your life in the meantime otherwise you'll resent the whole thing and be more likely to fall of the wagon. But just think how much better you'll feel at the Christmas party even a stone or two down!

I made fajitas last night - I don't know why but I always thought they were quite complicated (maybe because I'd always relied on a kit before?) but I basically lobbed some chicken, red onion, mushrooms and peppers in a pan with some cajun spice and served with two (weigh day treat!) WW wraps - easy peasy! A new one to add to the repertoire.

    Plan for today is:
Brunch - Bacon and mushroom omelette
    Tea - Speedy bolognese
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - None
Syns - Sugar in coffee (3), Maltesers (15:o)

Thanks for the Batch Lady link, Denise! I was expecting some American Martha Stewart type but she's lovely! I can only imagine the state of my kitchen if I tried to make that many meals at once, but I've had a revelation about storing meals flat in the freezer!! That never occurred to me at all but I'll be doing it from now on!

I did a shop yesterday and today I'll be batch cooking:
    - Red lentil dhal
    - Carrot and red lentil soup
    - Speedy bolognese
...and roasting veg for my lunches this week.

Best get cracking! Enjoy your Sunday everyone! x

She does say that you should start by just doubling your recipes, so one for today and another for the freezer and once your confident with that to move on to doing more at once. I've been doubling for years now - if fact it's more than that as the kids aren't at home and haven't been for over 20 years, LOL! I used to do it when the kids were probably teenagers (couldn't afford to do it until I went back to work!). I've been freezer some stuff flat for quite a while too but not everything. Think I need to watch that video about organising freezers as mine is definitely not organised at all! Often have trouble finding stuff that I know I've got in the freezer.

Good luck with the batch cooking today Tete.

    Today's plan:

B - SW fry up - bacon, egg, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms
L - Low fat burger from butcher (0.5) in New York bagel (HEB)
D - roast lamb, roast potatoes, roast veg - carrots, peppers, onions, peas, splash of gravy

    HEA - milk
    HEB - New York bagel
Syns - burger 0.5; nothing else planned but may have a couple of squares of dark chocolate 2

Trying to keep fairly Low Syn to make up for the excesses Thursday and Friday nights!

Hope you all have a great Sunday.

I had a quick look at the link denise but it was on my phone and difficult to navigate so I'll try again on the desktop.:)

It'll be interesting to read about organising freezers. I think mine are pretty organised but I might get a shock!:D Mostly I portion up the batch cooking in those flat boxes (like take away containers) and label them with a bit of masking tape. Meat I portion up in freezer bags and cut off the label from the packaging to go inside the see through bag. I keep an inventory separated into fish, meat, ready meals, fruit and veg and other (like bread, grated cheese and frozen herbs etc). I 'shop' from this to write my meal plan every week so I start from what I have in rather than buying things I don't need. I have two under counter freezers with drawers and (mostly) the drawers contain things all from the same category. I'd love to hear any more tips, either from her blog or from everyone on here. :)

I'm going to batch cook some swede & carrot mash so that'll be a portion for today's meal and a couple for the freezer.:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk, half banana, skinny syrup
L: veggie omelette (mushroom, tomato, courgette, spring onion) with ham and pickles
D: beef in 'red wine' (onions & mushrooms), SW roast potatoes, carrot & swede mash, red cabbage, cauli and broccoli
    Syns: cornflour 1, weekend wine:)
