bubbs should open a SW cafe :D

    What a good idea.

The area that I am working in has a total lack of cafe... well it has hundreds of fish and chip places, and absolutely no healthy food... I found somewhere that does jacket potato and beans. :D

One week down... only 25 weeks of contract left!

Maman, yes that's 2 pieces of grilled chicken breast. I've never been in a Subway, and we have one in town - although it could be because I know the guy who runs it ;) Wouldn't trust him to run me a bath let alone make me lunch :D

So, did you add the chicken or do they sell it in McD's? :)

The good thing about Subway (despite your local branch :() is that they have them at service stations so it offers a SW friendly option on the move. Makes a change from sandwiches. :)

Good morning all! So sorry to read your news Beanie, it's hard enough to lose someone so I can't imagine how it must feel in those circumstances, sending a hug.

I've managed to give my head a shake this week and lost 2.5lbs - just need to keep it up now :o

The freezer is looking decidedly depleted so maybe a weekend of batch cooking if this forecast rain materialises (hopefully not til after parkrun!)

I fancy some sort of fajita thing for tea tonight I think... Have a good weekend everyone. Sending love to all those who need it, I feel like it's quite a few of you.

Tete I've just discovered The Batch Lady on the web. (https://thebatchlady.com). She makes 10 x 4 portions in an hour! She's got a section for each of: Fish, Beef mince & Chicken. She's also got it all and more on UTube.

I'm planning on giving it a go when I come back from my holiday in September as trying to run down my outside freezer at the moment so I can turn it off while I'm away for a month.

Ended up with toad in the hole yesterday as couldn't be bothered to make it just for DH and I really enjoyed it and only 4.5 syns for the flour, used milk from HEA2. Think that may well be on the menu again in the future.

    Today's plan:

B - fry up - sausage, bacon, egg mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - 1 syn
L - soup - not sure which yet. I'll see what DH wants but it will be either 2 pea or mixed veg
D - ox cheek casserole in the slow cooker, mash & a green veg, probably green beans

    HEA - milk
    HEB - not planned
Syns - sausage 1; nothing else planned as had enough syns yesterday to cover today as well!

  • Oh my word, just eaten breakfast! Trying to decide what to keep me full as have erratic day ahead. Not made the waffles before so decided I would try that. Then discovered that I didn't have any natural yoghurt, so had to use muller light, pineapple with what ever, didn't use any sweetener as the yoghurt would have been sweet enough. It was lush, didn't bother with quark, just chopped up some apple with it. Synned by 2, that should be ok, shouldn't it?

    Good loss tete, well done!:T

Peach and pineapple is one of the lower synned Mullers gtq at only half a syn so, if it was that, you made a good substitute!:D

Thanks for that link denise. My freezers are pretty full at the moment but I'll take a look for another time.

Difficult to say how my day will work out as don't know what's on offer at the party later. I'll be in control up to lunchtime though so that's a help.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, fried egg, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese and pickled cabbage
    D: party food
    Syns: tbc

From tomorrow I should be able to stay on plan at least until Friday. I'm looking forward to it. :)

Enjoy the party Maman. Are you taking anything SW friendly with you? Good luck with having a clear week and being able to stay on plan!

GTQ - not as many syns for the pancakes just 0.5 as Maman said. Haven't done them for ages and probably won't as DH doesn't like them. Might make some if I feel peckish in the evening one day and DH not eating at the same time and if I haven't had my HEB or if I have, then if I've got enough syns!

Made the mixed veg soup in the end as that's what DH fancied. I'm pleased about that as it means more Speed foods for today.
