That's right, apparently like other pulses they have protein but not enough for SW. I wonder if that applies to cannelini beans?
I had to check broad beans too. I was putting them in with my Speed veg for dinner and then had to look them up. It was a great idea of yours to put the food values on the menus. I know it was meant for newbies but it's certainly helping me.
ETA : I just checked and it's haricot beans in baked beans and they're still counted as Protein. How daft is that?
Absolutely agree - it's bonkers! Surely being in a tomato sauce doesn't reduce the amount of Protein in the beans!!!
Funnily enough it's helping me too! I think we get a bit complacent after doing SW for years but it doesn't help when they change things for no apparent reason.
Ended today on just 2 syns as didn't have the lolly I thought I might, just didn't need it. When I felt peckish this afternoon I had a hard boiled egg which I cooked the other day and put in the fridge - still have one more left.
Bubbs Have you just had the one meal today? Have you been too busy to eat? Dinner looks great though.

If anything Denise , the tomato sauce should make baked beans even more SW friendly? I'd love to know the reasoning. Perhaps I'll email them and ask. I find blind acceptance of the mysteries of SW very difficult to swallow (excuse pun:o).
Why have you only had one meal today bubbs ? Did you sleep late?:rotfl:

Well this weekend has been a complete fail, and as usual down to alcohol. Didn't snack as much as I normally do, but the amount of French bread and butter consumed with my beef casserole yesterday was off the charts!
I "officially" (I say officially, but it's only my scales at home) every Monday morning, but not expecting anything tomorrow.
Still finding it hard as not back in routine and it doesn't help that we are off to London tomorrow and after a load of picnics out, I have just said we will find a McDs for lunch (sigh!).
Have nothing in the house and am planning on going supermarket shopping tomorrow afternoon. Not sure what to stock up on though.
Was thinking watermelon, bananas or porridge for breakie.
My mum makes a mean soup in the soup maker which lives in my kitchen, so I might just ask her to batch make some for me. Think we have used some SW recipes in the past, I will take another look. She is good bless her, she seems to enjoy the whole cooking thing, so looking after my children is really me doing her a favour, haha!
And like I say, dinners are hit and miss. I know dinners can be adapted, but have tried and failed in the past to get them to eat SW dinners. Tried with spag bol and they just couldn't get their heads around one made from scratch. There's only so many times I'm going to stand over a stove only for them to prefer the one that takes 10 minutes from a jar!!
Next week I am only working Thursday, so still not properly back in routine, but yet again, I will try starting again.
Thanks for everyone's help and for all the little notes on people's mealplans, it really helps.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

This is going to sound really daft, but what difference does it make if a food is protein or free or speed? If you don't have to count anything for them anyways... just curious if I am missing something?Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

pollyanna, cant you batch make yours, and freeze in portions, then when you are making them there's just take yours out the night before.
Protein fills you up, so if you are hungry boiled eggs, chciken is good because free and protein.
Like fat free greek yogurt is protein and more filling than muller and plain is free, muller is now synned
Speed gives you a quicker weight loss i think because mainly water?
Hope this helps a bitSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
