Good luck for WI today Maman.

Absolutely agree with you with your post to Pollyanna. We should be praising more but as you say she has made some good choices where she can.

What a coincidence we've both decided on burger for dinner tonight! Admittedly mine are 0.5 syns and yours will be free! My local butchers burgers are probably Free really as he uses very low fat mince but won't guarantee it's under 5% which is why I syn them at 0.5 (they used to be Free when SW were happy to let butchers use their name for them to sell their low fat burgers and sausages!)

Went to WI and delighted to find out that I'd lost 1.5lbs !:j

It could be that I didn't use as many syns as I thought on Monday or that Tuesday hasn't caught up with me yet. Who knows? Who cares? :D

I checked back and this time last year (and year before) I was a pound heavier so it's obviously an annual thing after my beach holiday but this year seems worse because of that massive gain. Anyway I'm motivated to try my best this week. I'll try to keep below 90 syns as it's a short week. I think I'd rather do that than weigh in Friday after a night out. :)

Interestingly there was a woman rejoining (again) who started with me 9 years ago. She's lost and gained several times over the years. She's never seen it through to target. I remember she used to have some spectacular losses while I was plodding away. She used to go at it like a bull at a gate 'diet' and eat masses of melon every day instead of proper meals. Then she got bored.... familiar story? . :(;)

Yes, I noticed we had similar menus today Denise . I like to use up last week's fresh stuff if I can before buying new. Good OS habit. :)

Well done Maman, that's a brilliant loss particularly as you said you'd be happy with an STS! Obviously not as many syns used as you thought this week.

I think it's quite normal to have a gain after a holiday - it's similar at Christmas/New Year as well.

I am feeling totally unmotivated at the moment due to various things in real life.
    I have a friends 50th tomorrow.
Hope to be back on track after that.

    Happy Friday all.

Is it at a restaurant Beanie? If it is can you get a look at the menu before going so that you can choose what to have before going?

Enjoy the meal (and the gin!) tomorrow.
