Morning all. I'm still here pottering around the SW plan. I have 8 weeks until we head off to see our son in cape town and Joburg and I really need to knuckle down and sort out lots of things including our diet in general. On the whole it is SW but, being at target, lots of extras creep in and I seem to have been hovering at the top of range or just out of it since we were away at Easter. I always think that the last bank hol of the year is a turning point and once we get the uni students away in mid sept I can crack on with a bit of decluttering and a deep clean but until then, I'll concentrate on money saving and our food.
I've weighed in on my scales this morning and they show that I'm 2lbs over target so I'm ready to draw "that" line and get on with it.
Today's plan is:-
He a's milk
He b Alpen light bars
B banana and Alpen bar
L chicken (LO from yesterday's BBQ) salad and a couple of cold new pots
D spicy rice with watercress (others can eat left over sausage with it) blueberries and another Alpen bar.
Syns none planned, had more than enough over the last few days!!!
I also intend to walk the dogs a lot further than of late. Cooler autumn days will help with that as two black long haired dogs don't do well with heat and prolonged walks. I have got a lovely dress out of my wardrobe for inspiration. It fits but.... It is fine for standing around in and not eating but a bit snug for a sit down meal at the moment and I want to be in it when we go out in SA - even if it is only the first night. lOL
I'm now off to do a stocktake of fridge, freezer and cupboards and then I can get planning for the next few days. I'm hoping to put off shopping as long as possible as everything I save means that I have more spending money on hols.
Feel free to poke, prod and if needed kick me up the btm. I am still filling in my PON diary but it hasn't been easy writing down all the naughties I have consumed - in fact, I feel quite embarrassed with the decline in fresh stuff and the slip slide into convenience and silly snacking. Ho hum!
I'll pop back later.0 -
At least you know where your weight is at the moment and you've decided to draw the line. Good luck with sticking to plan and losing the excess and hopefully getting to bottom end of target range before your holiday.
Change of plan for lunch - decided it was much too hot for soup so hand another Greek salad but minus the olives because I haven't got any.

Nipped to local shops this morning and half way there realised I had on my shorts and T shirt. normally I only dress like that in the garden and would cover up if going out so that’s a sign that I am more confident about how I feel. i would not have done that when I was carrying another 1 st 10.5 lbs!!
Have a good week everyone. :T0 -

Glad you had a good time bubbs .:)
Our lunch was great too. Heaps of SW friendly foods which I could enjoy. There were various cold meats, kebabs and loads of salads mainly. I just ignored the bread and had a tiny bit of cheese (well within HEA). Only syns would have been in a bit of oil. Quite a bit of wine was consumed but certainly not 50 syns worth.
Tomorrow I have to go to a funeral (mum of a friend). I'm planning just to go to the crematorium as I don't know the wider family.
Glad you enjoyed yours too
I didn't have any bread wither or wine:p
Afternoon all:D
Another hot day!

Happy birthday beanie 🥳. Another very warm day and even tho I had been good during the week I felt rather puffy today. So was not expecting my 1.5lbs off at WI today but am delighted
. Helped the social team too as they were short cos of school holidays etc.
Am roasting a chicken now :rotfl: as I daren’t let it go past the date in this heat. Not hungry at all, but will probably pick at it later. I got the Waitrose meal deal including the veg layers. I took out the herby butter and made a crustless quiche with all the veg which turned out very tasty, I added ham, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes etc. The kids polished off the choc tartes which were dessert. The box of chocs is in the cupboard and the other side was a bag of salad which will get eaten soon. Got all curtains drawn now in an effort to keep the indoor temp down. Definitely not sleeping as well with this heat.
Hope everyone is doing ok. Hugs to those missing.

Oh and I do wear shorts but the longer variety that finishes just above the knee
. Don’t want to inflict the sight of me in tiny shorts on anyone :rotfl:.
Today I wore a dress! Unheard of really, I tend to live in jeans. But far too hot, plus the jeans and even the jean shorts are fairly heavy compared to a dress for WI.
