Glad you enjoyed your birthday treat Beanie. If the drinks were eye watering I suspect the food was too!

Enjoy your BBQ Bubbs.
Will have a look at the Aldi Super Six after I've been to group Thursday morning. I'm not over keen on apples so mini ones might be good for me but unfortunately DH only likes gala or pink lady so may not be worth it. Will definitely get some of the pointed peppers - they're lovely stuffed and grilled.

Sounds like a lovely treat beanie . So pleased you enjoyed it. I'd much prefer an experience like that to 'stuff' for my birthday. And don't worry about the cost. You're so worth it.:A
Wow! You were up early Denise . What do you stuff the peppers with? I like the sound of those.
Thanks for the Aldi info bubbs . DH eats lots of fruit chopped on his muesli so I'll be getting some. Have a good time at the barbecue.
Not sure how today will work out. I'm doing a basic SW friendly potato salad for the lunch party with half syn mayo. I'm just hoping there will be other SW friendly options to go with it. I have 50 syns available but don't want to [STRIKE]waste [/STRIKE] use them on food.
Will report back later.0 -
Maman you can stuff them with anything you want really! It just needs to be cooked apart from the cheese on top.
I've done it with minced beef & onion, topped with mozzarella; rice salad topped with feta. Would probably work well with Bolognese topped with parmesan.
Was up much earlier than usual as I was really hot and couldn't get back to sleep. I'd been tossing and turning all night with the heat anyway so I just gave up trying to sleep any more. Probably means I'll end up going to bed a bit earlier than usual as well.
