Well done on your losses Trixie & GTQ.

So sorry to hear your news GTQ. Forget SW if you need to and then back on plan as soon as you feel up to it. Good when you can and careful when you can't.

Another lovely day today. Just waiting for washing machine to finish - didn't have enough clothes to make up a load so decided it was about time my door mats and steamer cloths were washed so they'll be out on the line as soon as I can get them out.

We're going out later as I want to go to Lakeland for a couple of things and DH needs his iPad being looked at and he bought it in the same town as Lakeland is in.

    Today's plan:

B - baked oats, with melon, strawberries, black & green grapes, salted caramel skinny syrup & quark
L - probably eat out so something like jacket, beans & salad or steak & salad depending on where we eat
D - shepherds pie, green beans & peas

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
Syns - none planned but may have a lolly or something this evening to use a few. Went over yesterday as usual on WI day!

Our consultant says any wholemeal roll/bread is hexb longs its 60g and wholemeal

I'm sure I've read 'any wholemeal' somewhere too. I've been having a problem with bread lately. I don't really eat rolls as mostly my HEB is toast with breakfast. I prefer a 400g loaf as it somehow feels better to have two small slices than one large one. I find the basic wholemeal like Warburtons and Hovis very insubstantial and tasteless. I've been buying 400g Burgen Soya and Linseed but it was discontinued so I switched to a Sainsbury's TTD instead. That tastes fine but it's cut incredibly thickly (especially the crusts) so I'm sure I'm having too large a portion. At the moment I've got some YS large Burgen loaves but would welcome any advice. I always freeze bread, hardly ever eat it fresh, so buying a few at a time wouldn't be a problem.:)

DH thoroughly enjoyed his fish last night, kept saying it was delicious! That would be the double portion of sweet chilli butter then!:D

Meal plan and shop to do today. I'll probably have to fight my way past all the people buying in for barbecues:). I was hoping to have a straight week on plan but not sure about Monday now. It's not just the food but if we go to a party then I'll need wine syns. I'll try and save up as many as possible just in case.;)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena (run out of grapefruit:eek:), HEB toast, fried egg, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: sardines, tomatoes, pickles and berries with yogurt
D: chicken casserole with butter beans, broccoli and new potatoes
Syns: 1 for cornflour and then anything I can't resist.:o

STS for me this week, happy enough with that. Coming week will be more difficult as my uncle died last night so will have to deal with funeral, hoping it will be tomorrow, which means I will be able to get back on track straight away, but some things in life are more important, so just going to take things as they come and do the best I can.

Hope everyone has a good bank holiday weekend.

So sorry for you loss GTQ, thinking of you :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    :naughty::D

Change of plan here in that I won't be doing my food shop today.

DH went out earlier and had a bump in my car. Fortunately he's fine but the car's not.:( If you could plan an accident it was perfect in that he'd stopped going through traffic lights to let a police car on blues and twos drive in front of him. A car came up behind, assumed he'd go through the lights and hit the back of him. The car is driveable but police said not to as the crunch has jagged edges. The police stopped and checked all insurance details and told DH he was definitely not to blame in any way as he was stationary. Courtesy car is coming tomorrow. I hope it's something decent as last time this happened we had a Fiat 500 and I felt like Noddy driving it. :D

Fortunately, in good mse fashion:money: all the ingerdients for today's meal are using up what's left of last week's veg and stuff I already had in so we're fine for tonight's dinner and I can do my shop tomorrow. :)

Glad your DH is OK Maman. Is the car repairable, it sounds as though it is?

Enjoy your birthday Beanie, even if it does cover several days celebrating! You only have one birthday a year!!!

Lunch was far too many Syns for my liking but the best I could manage under the circumstances - it was a choice of fish & chips with mushy peas or pulled pork in a brioche bun with chips or a salad! So I had the pulled pork but only ate less than 1/2 the bun plus the salad. Have to say it wasn't particularly nice. Certainly not as good as my SW pulled pork! Worked out the syns and it came out at 10.5! What a waste of syns but at least it's within today's syns and I've got the rest of the week to pull back the rest of the syns.

Not drinking today. Going to stick with Diet Ginger Beer.

Not much you can do when you are presented with a cake & candle on it though!
