A card? To nominate, we wrote a name on a sticky note last week and posted in a box. Then the people that had been nominated, received a text from our consultant a few days later to let them now someone had nominated them and you were given an ‘opt out’ option if you did not want to tell your story at group the following week. Then this week the nominated ones all told their story (well, not the ones that opted out ;)) and then we voted, again by writing a name on a sticky note posted in box. One of the social team counted all names and gave the winning name to consultant to announce.

  • The duchess potatoes sound good! I’ll have a go at those.

Off on a little break, nothing fancy, just driving one friend to visit another friend! But will be nice to get away. Haven’t planned any meals but the girl I’m driving goes to SW and wants to stay on plan so we will be fine.

Having a bowl of porridge to set me up for the journey, I think we will stop for lunch so I’ll grab a salad. I expect we’ll pop to Harvester for tea so I’ll have the chicken meal and syn the gravy.

Weighed in a day early and STS, happy with that. Big loss next week!

Hope you're not hanging around too much today denise.:)

That sounds like an excellent plan trixie:T. It's brilliant having a friend who's doing SW to help you stick to it. I've found that motorway service areas are improving in terms of healthy options. Many have a Pret a Manger or Waitrose or M&S.

We're out for lunch today. I've looked at the menu and sadly I fancy something (mushroom tagliatelle) that isn't particularly SW friendly. I'll wait and see what specials they're offering before I decide. In any event, I have [STRIKE]105[/STRIKE] 104 syns!!:D:rotfl:

I've had my SW breakfast (egg on toast with HP sauce). Generally when we go out for lunch I'm not hungry later but have plenty of fruit and cold meat to snack on if needed.

    Have a good day all.:)

On a 4 hour drip again, only started about an hour ago. Got to see dr again once it's finished.

At least they now know what the problem is after seeing the results of the nuclear scan. Just got to carry on with the fluids until I see a consultant.

Have eaten lunch already so at least I'm not hungry. It's so boring just sitting here. Going to read my kindle for a while. I definitely read quite a lot whilst I'm here!

Well done Beanie on being nominated for WOTY.

    and Vegas also! Good luck!!

Our consultant can't wait for each of the competitions to come round as she loves tasters! Probably helps that there are quite a lot in my group and in one of her other groups that enjoy cooking and provided stuff that's worth eating! I get a bit fed up with people just bringing strawberries - even in winter when they've got no taste! or bottles of Diet Coke!
    Denise

!!!!!!?!! how can anyone get away with bringing along a bottle of diet Coke to a taster session? Beggars belief, but almost admire the brass neck of it.

Urgh! hospitals are really such boring places to be stuck, aren't they? We should have recommended you a cannot put down thriller story for you to read. I used to download films and TV series onto my phone or ipad to take into hospital when one of my sons was regularly having to attend appointments and I had to hang around.

Been a bit AWOL again, sorry guys! work is so incredibly busy at the mo, and then evenings seem to be tied up with family/OH stuff. Last night we had a 4hr road trip to collect another motorbike (we are running out of storage room for them now):rotfl: This is to replace the (fixed) crashed one, that he doesn't want to damage again

Had dinner on the road at almost 10pm last night, and it was McD's. I was SO hungry, and had already had chicken salad for lunch, so opted for a low calorie option, which was the veggie deluxe at 380 cals, with side salad and a cup of tea. I also chose extra pickles and tomato on the veggie option. I can't say I felt it satisfied my hunger, and went to bed hungry.

Had a trauma just as we were approaching home, and a cat was being chased by another cat, ran across the road, narrowly missed by the car in front. They continued to chase each other across gardens, hopping fences, I drove past, but one of them ran across as my car drove past, and it hit the back of my car :( Now, cat lover doesn't come close to how much I adore my little kitty, so I had to go searching for the cat to see if it was okay. Found it down a side street, obviously injured, but not sure how badly (with the chasing kitty still hassling it even though it was now laid down  bad kitty!). So at midnight I was delivering this cat in a bird cage donated by a neighbour close to the incident who came to my appeals on facebook. Cat is alive, as far as I am aware, but they can't share any details about it until owners traced. :( Suffice to say it was a disturbed night's sleep.
