A few days, but I got installed before the £49 offer started. Installation dates tend to vary from area to area based on the number of installers working in that part of the country.

Anyone know of the department within sky i ring to see about upgrading too sky+ ive been with them 10 years and want a better deal than the 99+60 which i think is very high?? I'm in a digital swithover area which may help.

speak with sky people 08442 411 411 and with option go to "cancellation team" and tell them virgin offering the same kind of system for very less along with recording service, so I want to cancel my subscription, what are my options?? with the pause and big sigh also let them know that you love sky tv and don't want to miss many of programme available to sky only but your work timing don't allow you to watch your favourtie programme anymore and that's why I am thinking of switchover to virgin.....generally they will offer you something...if they don't try again in a day or two(most of the time it depend of the customer service person to offer you something...if you don't get it for the first time, don't dishearten) i did try couple of time and I got it for £45-£30 for box and £15 for installtion(i am with them since a year only)...BEST LUCK !!!:beer:

Is all of this necessary ????

Why can't Sky simply offer the same deals to everyone instead of us having to dance around ringing different tel numbers pretending to cancel or having to speak to Sky's call centre staff in a particular tone of voice ????

I have colleagues at work telling me Sky upgraded them to Sky + free of charge. All of these colleagues have been with Sky for varying lengths of time.

When I rang Sky up to enquire about this they denied all knowledge of any such offers-surely this is bordering on illegality ??

Offered sky+ with installation for £30. I snapped his hand off and getting it on sunday.

Have tried numerous times before but to no avail. Followed above advice just now and it's being installed on Tuesday, free of all charges. Thanks
