I rang about 4 months ago and they ended up calling my bluff and cancelling me rather than offering me sky+ for £49 or free. I didn't go through with the cancellation in the end so am still a current sky customer.
How long would i need to leave it before trying again to see if i can get an offer?0 -
Just cancelled sky, they offered me sky hd box and installation for £59 and free line rental for 12 months I said no thanks, got 30 days to change my mind. The lady said if I would be interested in future deals so maybe they will phone back with better offer what do u think?0

My dp would love to have sky HD, has anyone had any good offers on it without having to pay the additional £10 per month at all?0

I just had a chat to a sky adviser on sky.com and was offered sky+ for £49 and they are going to reimburse me £124.99 BT are charging me for a new bt line. I was with Sky (in my partners name) before we moved a month ago but went with Virgin because I thought at the time it was cheaper but they are no way as good as Sky IMHO.0

Can I ask how did you getting talking to an advisor on sky.com? Has anyone got a low rate telephone number for Sky?0 -
Phoned Sky last night to cancel as was looking to get Sky+. Spoke to an advisor for about 40 minutes. Was offered Sky+ for £60 including installation without even negotiating, spoke for a while longer and was also told that if I upgrade to Movies for an extra £8 per month (can downgrade after 30 days), I could get Sky+ for £30 including installation!! Result  Was hoping to get it for free, but so long as I got under the £49 that it has previously been offered at then I was happy with that. All in all, managed to get Sky+ installed for £38 (£30 plus the £8 extra for Movies). Not bad for a phone call!!2014 running challenge 587.4 miles / 250 miles0

What a hullaballloooooo!
Already got the £49 deal 14 months ago but now our box is playing up. Last week I tried to ring and explain and got through to India, where, give him his dues, he tried to help, but it kept switching off again. Today I tried and got told basically 'Poke it' - and got offered the Sky HD box for £105 as it is going up apparently to £210 tomorrow (yawn).
I rang up again as I wasn't happy with that - used the 084 number (I know, I know - forgot about this...) and got put through to a great guy in Ireland who could clearly hear I was getting flustered. He was trying to arrange an engineer to come out (gratis) when the system crashed. He was terribly apologetic and asked if I would ring back in 10 mins.
I did that, did the same options - got through to a rude woman in Scotland who told me I should never have been offered this and that she couldn't and wouldn't do anything for me. I asked her how it can be offered one minute then nothing the next..... grrrrr. She told me that she couldn't do anything. I told her that if the box goes wrong then I will be cancelling. She just told me 'I am sorry that we would lose you as a customer but there is nothing I can do for you'. End Call.
HMH. So of course, then I remember, come on here, find the 01506 421884 number and get through to a lovely scottish guy who had to listen to me babble the whole story, by which time he was so bored with me that he has booked an engineer for me (gratis).
NOW WHY DID THAT HAVE TO TAKE SO LONG?!
Anyhow, calmed down now, having a nice cup of tea and chocolate. I'm stressed.
Good luck to all .
