Morning friends,
A busy start to the week here yesterday. Finished an essay, started a new course, did some business admin for DH and lots of my own work emails. Also kept on top of the dailies as best I could. Better fly now but have fab days all xx0 -
Welcome MrsRyan and welcome back JellyB
Narc0, happy memories of a good dayDid you see the turtle doves?
It was DH's turn to have a coughing fit in the middle of last night, so he has spent half the night sleeping bolt upright in his chair. But I still woke up at 5.00 - very attuned to sunrise! It does mean that I have already completed a few little admin jobs.
Life here is more than slightly crazy atm
Gentle rain earlier and a downpour just now make me glad that I didn't worry about watering the garden last nightOff out for coffee with a friend to a William Morris house (NT) so the rain doesn't matter.
Phonecalls to make first, and various letters to deliver en route.
Catch up later. Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Morning all
Feeling much better after an early night and I slept well. It’s pouring down here so won’t do washing today. There is nothing urgent and I don’t like having it hanging round indoors if I can possibly help it.
Busy day of paid stuff coming up, am just waiting for laptop to boot up and will start that.
Dailies started, will s/s kitchen when I have a tea break in a couple of hours.
Pay day today so need to check bank and do my budget and money shuffle.
Pop to supermarket for a couple of things that were missed off the list.
Do the bathrooms for flylady list.
A walk looks unlikely so may go for a swim instead.
One or two calls to make and emails to send so will get those out of the way nice and early.
Right, onwards! Have a good day all, hugs to those that need them x0 -
Pouring down here as well, it will do my plants good, my empty containers are out there to catch the rain which I can use to water the garden when it gets hot again very MSE.
Was going to go outside volunteering this morning, but I think I'll do the ironing and dusting instead.

It’s stopped raining here now but it is warm and decidedly slug weather. The water butts are 3/4 full again so that will be much needed if the weekend forecast is right.
I had a cheeky lie in - only happens when I have a day off that coincides with DD not being at school or needing to be somewhere else early. I have emptied last night’s dw, WULTD a few bits, put a towel wash on and am now going to conquer the ironing. I have an hour before I need to go out.
Bathrooms were done on Sunday so will just get a s&s later. I also need to tackle the paperwork mountain and pay my car tax!!
Ironing first, with cuppa on the side.
Have a lovely day everyone.0 -
Morning
Raining as forecast. I was annoyed yesterday as the forecast rain never did arrive and I hadn't put the washing on!!!! Well, maybe not 'annoyed' exactly - just tutted once or twice
I had an unexpected trip out yesterday as whilst washing Sweetie's drinker I broke it - only a hairline fracture but drip, drip, dripDrove over to DS's dad's (he used to breed budgies and still has all the paraphernalia) - no-one in
Tried the budgie shed door - not locked woot woot :T So I burgled a drinker  Brought the drinker home. washed it and put it on Sweetie's cage - then phoned DS's dad to tell him he's been burgled. He laughed - I knew he would have given me a drinker had he been in - I'm not really a thief!!!
Sweetie has been eyeing the drinker as though it is Enemy No 1 :rotfl: He managed to drink from it yesterday staying as far away from it as possible and without touching the sides. Today the drinker has been cautiously approached and given a good peck so that it knows where it belongs in the great scheme of things. :rotfl: He makes me laugh. It's Sweetie's hatchday tomorrow - three years old. I've bought him some millet - whether he will eat it, ignore it or attack it remains to be seen
DS is still feeling 'ropey' but has remained in Bulgaria.
I'm having a lazy morning before meeting a friend for lunch. Not even dressed yet - but going for a shower now...
Take care my friends

Morning all.
AWOL last week due to AF. I was totally drained or running around so much I didn't know whether I was coming, going or had already been :rotfl:
Missing yesterday as I had a banging headache that wasn't clearing with painkillers. It's still here today but not as bad so I'm getting on with things. This week is a busy one as I have a work order to place, I still need to go to a bank to pay my work money in so I can pay my bill, DS has an appointment in Leeds tomorrow (ex is coming with us and driving which saves us £70+ on train fare!) so I basically loose the entire day and then it's DS's sixth form prom on Friday night.
DS said he is lost without homework or revision to do so I'm going to give him a list to do

Right, going to kick DSs bottom into gear. I have lots to do so he can do stuff as well.
And he's just broken my glass plate in two by knocking it off the arm of the sofa  Now I have to try and find stuff to wrap it in so it can be binned safely.

Early update [STRIKE]before I get stuck into a mammoth job.[/STRIKE] DS has done most of the kitchen jobs. Just the bins, fridge (both of which I said I'd do) and the floor to be done. He's gone off to have a shower and change his bed now. So the kitchen list is a case of if it's gone it's done
Me? [STRIKE]Well I've just gone to pay a bill and realised my accounts are out by £162  I've now got to go through my statements since January 1st and work out where the mistake is as it wasn't on my current statement. Money is too tight atm to just leave it since I have bills to pay. I'm going to be here a while[/STRIKE]. I have managed to go through all the laundry on the maidens though and sorted that out so at least I got something done.

Going to make a coffee and try to sort these finances out. :coffee:
ETA: Realised my mistake with the money - I'd written my statement date down as yesterday instead of today but put today's transactions through as well which is why it didn't match up :wall:
