I have done my morning routine - made bed, S&S, dressed to shoes, vitamin, checked calendar, breakfast, empty dishwaster, start laundry. Have made the list below for today's cleaning and will come back and cross off as I go!
Thanks for creating this board and helping me to try and work my way through some of the chaos in my house!

Bowl of pots WUDUPA +
birds fed
recycling out - 2 cans and a cereal box
repeat prescription ordered
bleach sloshed down loo
t rolls stored in bathroom (which is tiny) - door still shuts (I checked)

Oh my - thank you for the card reminder: I'd remembered the two 21st birthdays coming up (30th June / 10th July) but your prompt 'unearthed' my oldest (in years not age) friend's birthday on 4th July. How is it nearly July already? And that means it's also a colleague's birthday (26th or 27th July) - she's been off sick for quite a while after several heart attacks so a card might cheer her up and let her know she's not been forgotten.

Welcome Mrs Ryan and welcome back Jelly B!
Rather unusually I've done quite a bit of that kitchen listy over the weekend, and I managed to clear two sets of Froggie minutes, so I'm feeling wonderfully relaxed this morning. Just as well, I've got yet another emergency dental appointment this afternoon because yet another filling seems to be loose. Even I can understand a tooth rattling and something being on the move isn't great. fortunately he can fit me in today because I've been terrified all weekend the filling would drop out and leave a jagged cavern.
For the first time in two months I don't have anything Froggie hanging over me and it feels marvellous. I'm sharpening pencils, filing and doing all the things most normal people do on Mondays, rather than avoiding doing all the things I don't want to do.
Bookings are non-existent for the first time ever since I bought the house, other than two lighting chaps we both really, really like from a ballet company in October and OH. I are rather looking forward to having the house to ourselves for a few months. We both enjoy having people here - we've got a second year PhD marine biology student here, a delightful young woman here at the moment - but it will be nice just for a change after 26 years to have the house to ourselves.Better is good enough.0 -
Thanks for the Welcome Back messages!
I've just been off work for a week with a rather nasty stomach bug. I had already booked the Friday and Monday off for a family wedding so it's been a good chance to catch up on sleep. This included today when I slept until mid-morning which is virtually unheard of for me! Back to work tomorrow though so will be doing my best to get back on the Flying routines and then off for a week where a serious decluttering operation will happen.
Onwards and upwards!
I'm looking forward to joining in. Will look at Monday's kitchen list but not ready to post just yet but I will soon!Sealed Pot Challenge -13 No 080

Today hasn't quite gone to plan. Sent DD1 a text asking if she would like lunch one day this week and got a reply yes plus could you bring ankle support, ibuprofen, fan and clean towels. So ended up driving an hour to meet her and give her some TLC. It is very very hot and humid so I can understand that it is making it difficult for her to study and it's set to get hotter and hotter until the end of the week so hopefully the fan will help make her appartment bearable.
So nothing done in the house as I wanted but did go and do some shopping and get glasses quote so won't need to go out later in the week.
Next job is to try and spatchcock a chicken and pop it in the oven to roast, might roast some tomatoes at the same time as I love roasted tomato salad.
Sitting in the house all dark but at least it's staying cooler.0 -

Quiet evening and an early night for me I think!0 -
I was absolutely convinced that I posted this morning before going to work. Evidently not.
I made it to the foothills of Mount Ironmore this morning. The rest was going to be done this evening but after a busy, busy day at work (I’ve had it pretty easy for the past couple of years so it’s a shock to the system to ramp up to the speed that I used to work at), I really cba. Recycling out, kitchen tidied, dw running, and floor swept. The bottom of the fridge was wiped out and the contents sorted into a veggie dinner.
Tomorrow is my day off. I have to take DD for an appointment then I’ll hopefully have some time to tackle a list and the promised rain will sort out watering the allotment. As some kind of wildlife (most likely a deer) is slowly chomping it’s way through all my green shoots, it is all looking rather poorly.
Right now I am going to curl up on the settee and have a cuppa.0 -
Morning all.
Yesterday I did some things from the list, two dog walks, changed the bedding, dusted the living room and hoovered and swept through. I spent the afternoon working on an art project and the evening playing badly in a match.
Today I want to finish yesterday's list but first must drop off DHs packed lunch to him that he forgot so I'll do some shopping while I'm out.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0
