Hester
Surely the agency will get a complaint that she was not "friendly" enough and then they will tell her what is expected for the £250.
I am furious on your behalf that she thinks she is more intelligent than you because she is a teacher.
It does not sound as if she is a good teacher - or even a competant one!
She is appallingly ignorant of the most basic courtesies and is unwilling to be told or shown anything and she is appallingly rude!
I don't care if she is a PHD (which I doubt) - you have more intelligence and grace in your little finger than she has in her entire body.
I almost hope she does get herself into a tricky situation but then you would end up getting involved in the mess.
Thanks for the good wishes for my daughter and congratulations to Churchmouse and family."This site is addictive!"

Just realised the time, so this is going to be short and sweet!
Hester not sure what planet your lodger inhabits, hope that when she arrives on this one it is not an unhappy landing for her...she can't be so naive as to not understand what is expected of her. I am with Elona on the anger bit on your behalf...if she can't understand plain English how is she teaching English children.
Hugs to all not in good health, think that it is very much colder than usual for this time of year...hope that you feel better soon.
Nice to see you posting again Anniestar, missed you.
Congratulations to all celebrating
