If the OP had stopped beating around the bush and admitted they wanted some kind of compensation (however unreasonable) in the first post, it'd have been a lot easier.

What chaotic treatment ? Tui have explained why things have to change, what more could they do ? Does your Dad have to be told to phone if he needs to ask anything else ?

Your Dad sounds like a nightmare, can't he manage a flight without a drink ? I'm all for banning drinking on flights, it's just not necessary.

It's the principle of flights no long being part of the holiday but simply a way from a to b which he is annoyed at.

TUI email didn't even mention any risk to reserved seats for example - surely everybody would think an email should mention an increased risk on that or at least where to get further information?

And the call centre opening hours are incorrect as when my dad phoned them they had shut at 17.30 despite saying on the website the lines are open to 19.00

I imagine they were just pretending to be shut when they recognised your dad's number.

He has never phoned them before.

And if so that is TUI bullying customers.
  • Sometimes the Sales side telephone line is open but the CS line keeps office hours, for obvious reasons.

It's my dad's big concern - he struggles with poor english skills - grecce tends to have good english so we don't have a problem here but in cyprus he once stormed out of a resturant as the waitress could not understand what he was trying to order.

OP seriously I don’t think holidays abroad are for you and your family.
If you must go abroad try the Costa Brava - I’ve heard you can get a full English, a Sunday roast, HP sauce & PG tips there.

Then point your complaints to TUI.
You have had all the advice you are likely to get on here.
Don't you understand that people are poking fun at your Father.
