It's the principle of flights no long being part of the holiday but simply a way from a to b which he is annoyed at.
Since when was it ever anything else on package holidays ?

Have you been on the moon?

TUI have really upped the offering on their 737 max. It now has a roll back roof to allow up to 75% of passengers to get a start on their tan as soon as you are above the cloud base.

That is just one of the many benefits the OP will be missing out on.....I bet there isn't even room for the artificial beach on this replacement wreck.

    I'm literally disgusted at TUI.

Oh for god sake. You do realise you were paying for these in the price of the ticket to begin with, yes?

Where are you going? Greece? 3 hour flight. Will you starve? If only the plane had food offerings they could sell you on board, or that the plane was setting off from a big building that had outlets that sold food.

Well, imho that was a bonus.
Do you really not understand that the cost of that 'plane meal' was costed in to the price of your ticket/holiday?

And did anyone ever think that being served pretty crappy meals on a plane made it 'part of the holiday'?

I think you and your Father are so out of touch with the reality of holidays today that you should both rethink going abroad ever again.
And make the decision not to do it.

Indeed, even when I go to Vegas in a few weeks time I wont be touching the hot food on the flight (Thomas Cook) and I will just be hitting a buffet when I get there. Vile stuff.

Not yet - no TUI Gold hotels..............................maybe one day ?

I was beginning to suspect the OP was on a wind up mission - this now more or less confirms.

Incidentally, Thomsons (as was) discontinued in flight meals, (except for long haul ?), about 7 years ago, if memory serves.

Maybe news travels slow around OPs neck of the woods ?

TUI (Thomson at the time) stopped offering meals on shorthaul flights 2011/2012 ish even then they weren't free, last time we used Thomas Cook back in 2015 meals were an option you paid for and IIRC it something like £15 per person.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

Maybe sat on a rickety deckchair on Blackpool beach with a knotted hankie on their heads would be more appropriate.
