Bad time of year or rubbish photos?

Today we can cancel our contract as it's in the 14 day cooling off period, but if we stay with them, we're with them solely until 3rd November.
Luckily we're not in a rush anymore so can afford for the house to sell slowly, it's just really strange that there's been absolutely no interest. even if it was over priced people would still want to see it and haggle the price down (I know I would) so that makes me think rubbish photos (which it obviously is)What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
This is the actual colour of my garen a few weeks ago (we've added flowers and prettified the garden a lot since this photo.) So you can see the difference in photos and that was just with a camera phone.

So a few comments on the pictures, some already mentioned. (all picture numbers are the order on Rightmove, not the image short description number).
The lounge is on twice, pictures 1 & 6. I'd get rid of the second. As people have said, the animal cages are not attractive, even if the corner would be otherwise empty. I'm sure your animals are lovely and clean, but some people will immediately think the house will smell of dog. And even though that may be easy to get rid of, it doesn't change the fact that it is off-putting to some.
The front of the house, picture 2. Needs a new angle to show the door. Even if this has been intentional due to you or the agent feeling the door needs replacing, hiding it will make somebody feel it definitely needs replacing. And let's be honest, the front door is pretty much the most important feature on the front of your house, its where people want to look. If you do get a better image of the front, you should consider making it the first image.
You have 5 pictures of your garden. The first (#4), looks good, it shows off the good size, the decking and the rear of the house, everything you want it to display. The others show negatives, the hardcore at the back, the rough down the side, and the rough paintwork around the top of the garage. I would get rid of all except the first one.
The missing bedrooms. Even if they are small, pictures should be included.
Finally, the floor plan. As mentioned, dimensions on the floor plan are good, but my issue with it is that it not drawn to scale. The dining room looks extremely narrow compared to the lounge. The images of the dining room don't show it so tight. Also, the dimensions in the description bundle the two rooms together, so make it hard for somebody to confirm its actual size.
Hope those help, and also, 1 1/2 week is not a long time. I'm currently selling mine and didn't get any views for the first 2 weeks, then had and accepted an offer a week later after 3 people came to look. I'm just north-west of London, so I'm sure the market is different in other places.

[STRIKE]Do you have a downstairs loo?[/STRIKE]... Never mind the flor plan is up now, looks like you could put one in the garage with a door of the dining room.
Why would I do that though? There's no point in spending a few thousand pounds on fitting a toilet downstairs when we want to move is there? What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
This confused me.https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/detailMatching.html?prop=61883071&sale=5337859&cou ntry=england Same size house but no downstairs loo sold 2 years ago just round the corner
Maybe just point out the potential then, it would be easy to do, its right next to the soil stack, you would just need water running to it.0 -
Don`t get caught in the "Better photos will sell it" loop, the issue is price.0

Is that what you did? "Yes" or "no" will do.Crashy_Time wrote: »Don`t get caught in the "Better photos will sell it" loop, the issue is price.0 -
Agree with others that the first photo should be of the front of the house. Photo 2 - looks like the angle is to show off the garage, but as someone else said the tree is hiding the front door, so I'd put that photo towards the end and a have a 'straight on' photo of the front of the house for photo 1.
Back garden doesn't bother me at all - lovely blank canvas.
Living room - don't agree with other posters telling you to buy cushions etc as I can easily envisage what it might look like with our furniture etc in it. Cages don't bother me either as we have pets (would only bother me if it smelt of animals on a viewing).
Floorplan definitely needs measurements (metric & imperial).
