Not really much going off MSE wise – yesterday was a much needed NSD!! Also hope the next few days will be NSD but we shall see. I have not much planned today just going to read some diaries and think of targets for July.
I have decided that I am going to invest now in changing the wheels on my car and doing the downgrade off them to make them better. The car isn’t really designed for comfort haha, but I am doing lots of miles so I am prepared to sacrifice the looks a little to get a better ride, also the tyres that I have on now are so thin that any bump or pothole damages them. So in the long run I will save more due to not having to keep replacing alloys ( replaced 2 already!). Unfortunately this decision means that I won't clear my mum debt this month but I can still clear about 300. So progress made. I plan on selling my alloys with tyres which are all good condition for about 40 each so i will recoup some money back and that can then go to paying off mum.
The fact i can do this all whilst not getting further into debt or needing to borrow more is a positive sign moving forward, just a little frustrated that the hard work this month isn't going to result in a debt been cleared
Hey - at least you've allocated the money for something necessary and better in the long term, and not got into further debt to do it0 -

Yeah, i never looked at it that way. If i wasn't paying any back to debt id maybe feel a little but more downbeat about it, but seeing that if i can build up an emergancy fund for times likes this i can budget wellLong term i should be in a better position.

Nice early start today, for some reason i woke and just couldn't get back off so i figured i may as well get up. Yesterday was a nice day but not a NSD day, it was lovely and warm so we took the little one to park and then decided we would spend some time in garden. We bought ice creams and a few drinks, this was from our remaining funds left before payday, but for the 1st time in ages we go into payday in credit..woooo!
ITS PAYDAY!!!a few of the payments for debt and rent have already come out, i need to make a few manual payments including a transfer of funds to Mum. I am working to a strict budget this month.
This diary is not even a month old and i can already see how been accountable to it is going to turn things around, i can slowly feel myself adjusting and changing mindset, yes i have had few setbacks this month but it has shown that if i budget properly and allow myself to be strict i can have the best of both worlds just in smaller doses.
Well 1st coffee in hand and some bills to pay so of i go. Hope you all have a fab day0 -

Thanks Dancing. Looking forward to the month ahead. I am thinking of setting some debt targets but also personal ones too. I haven't really been myself for last few months (improved now) but still have the odd moment. I think this is down to fatigue more than anything but also I need to improve my eating, also I really want to run more. I used to be so fit running and playing sports and now I just don't.0 -
So, the small amounts taken off so far account for £116.67. I still have a chunk to pay off a major debt but that's for another day lol, however I must make a huge chunk payment today if I can. I have now been able to update my signature to reflect the change.
Its only when i look at my signature i see progress, sometimes i don't feel like i am making much headway but seeing it wrote down is good motivation, once i make the other payments later that figure will drop quite a bit.0 -

Take it from me at the wrong side of [STRIKE]50[/STRIKE] 55 if you don't kick back on now you will regret it much more later. I know running shoes cost, but running is free!I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Evening all,
Hope you have enjoyed the amazing weather at last!!!! Today as been a pretty but productive day, had nice breakfast while waiting on car to be done, was a really nice brunch place so loved that and then cleaned car and chilled in garden with daughter. Unfortunately had to spend money on prescription for a leg infection but hoping nothing serious

Tyre: I took car tyre to my normal guy who confirmed it was deffo the alloy leaking from damage, however he is adamant this could not have been done by other garage due to location. He said that its probs been damaged a while but due to tyre sealing the air it was fine, however the minute they have took tyre of it broke seal and coz they haven't noticed damage it then leaked slowly. However he has now managed to mend the alloy and put a new tyre on for a lot less than i was going to pay for the whole new set so saved money. I will save up for new set eventually lol.
Tv/Broadband: I know this is a luxury and well aware that I should be ditching this but i am a sports addict and also we got a great deal which saves me £45 a month (which shows how bad i was getting ripped off before!!) and i get faster broadband and extra sports channels. I have agreed with partner that for the sports i will take out of my personal spends if she wishesSo yeah whilst its not exactly MSE i am pretty happy with the deal as i get all sports now for way cheaper. So a massive win.
Debt: Today I have made a payment of £300 to the massive debt which means i can guarantee this will be cleared towards middle of July - £189 remaining to pay.
Debt at beginning of Diary (8th June) - £6129
Current Debt: £5572.33
Total Paid: £556.67 - !!!!!!! Wow - This month I got lucky as I did loads of overtime last month so got extra 270 on wage so meant I could pay more out. Next month not so lucky haha.
Whilst some of this is normal payments i would have made anyways the £140 I paid mum + 200 in additional payments has knocked this down. I am not sure it will come down that much in future months, but its taken a chunk of and now if I can maintain about 250 a month on top of my normal agreed payments i should be on track
Sorry for the long post!:D0
