    Hey All,

What a day! zzzzz. So last night worked a night shift on very little sleep and the infection in leg worsened and started to seep so i took my GPs advice and went straight to A&E from work. After some poking and prodding and some general blood pressure/heart rate/temp stuff they decided it was best to cut it out. Boy they don't half know how to scare you! haha, they came in with massive needle, Stanley blade type tool and scissors. Nurse did warn the anesthetic would hurt due to location and been near the bone and she certainly wasn't lying! I did manage to not cry...probably as that would not have seemed very manly in front of the pretty nurses and be a wuss! :rotfl::rotfl: But all well now infection taken out and wound packed so should heal in a few weeks.

On a side note they told me that everything the GP had said or done from the very 1st time i went with the cyst was wrong...Great!

Oh Dan that sounds truly horrible, poor you! Hope you're resting up now and that everything heals quickly now. Awful that you've had the wrong advice all this time though.

So does this mean you had a NSD today then? ;)

haha! It was not half as bad as i making out, once the injection was in it was a simple enough. The put some saline solution in with the packing of wound which was a little sore when anesthetic wore off, but yeah hopefully on the mend.

I am working again for next few nights but its generally really quiet and office based so about as relaxed as i can be.

And yup it was a NSD :D I didn't need to pay for parking as there is free parking near the A & E, also the lovely nurse gave me all the supplies i need to keep the wound clean while it heals...all though i am not gunna like peeling off the 1st one as they have kindly trapped hair underneath it, i am sure they did that on purpose as they both had a little giggle at a leg waxing joke they made!! :rotfl:

That sounds like a good outcome.
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Deffo! I can now stop worrying, just got to keep on top of keeping it clean and said it should heal fine.

    Well officially a month in!

I have really enjoyed starting this diary it has given me a place to put down so targets and also holds me to account for my actions. I have learned that i actually do have quite a good resistance to spending stupid money on things i don't need but still have a way to go. There has been way more positive than negative that is for sure.

    Positive.

    - Paid some of what i owe to mum
    - Paid £310 to major debt
    - Resolved car issues without need to increase debt
    - Maintained regular payments
    - Got debt below 6k
    - Cut out the C*stas

    Negative

    - Totally losing track of spends (must improve)
    - Messed with budget way to much and meant not always had what i would like to overpay to debt.
    - Not paid off mum

Overall i am pleased with progress i have made and feel like i am back in control, a few adjustments needed budget wise and thought wise but a good month.

Thanks to you guys for popping in and cheering me on and the ideas that you have presented. Bring on many more triumphs!

    Afternoon All,

Today is a good day, i woke up in no pain :D also opened todays post to find a letter from work telling me that i was getting a pay rise YAAAAAAAAAAAY! Quite a suprise and actually and additional 1600 or so a year on top of wage, so aprox 100 extra once tax worked out i would imagine.

In MSE news its been NSD so far but will need to buy lunch for work as bread gone off (poor planning as per usual on nights)

Hope you all have a lovely evening.

That's great news. Well done - shows they value you!

That's another £500 by the end of the year to put towards debt - although I think a personal or treat might be a good idea for the first month !

It was certainly an unexpected but welcome surprise :). It took effect from July 1st so hoping it will go on my pay this month. I think i will maybe plan a day away for us as a family. We haven't really done loads of days out this year so will be a nice treat. I am keen to ensure that debt payments stay at the forefront of my plans.
