that's exactly right -
sorry my para should have read "personal or family" treat. I would have picked family 100% of the time. not every family day out has been entirely 100% frictionless but I never regretted doing them as they all make memories :-) and you don't know what will stick with them over and above the family timeI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
Happy Friday all,
not really much happening MSE wise over last few days. I have not had any more NSDs but that was expected/planned. We bought all the little ones uniform for when she starts school in a few months so that is one less expense to sort...Where does time go? seems she has grown up so much.
Yesterday we had parents evening at her nursery and the teacher was like ' wow..she is such a character' aha. Its strange I look at her and see the wonderful, caring, funny human she is turning into and I melt, ive sometimes questioned my parenting ability sometimes to see others find her such a pleasure to be around made me feel a bit good.
I need to take some time to look over budgets and balances as I have not really tracked these as much as I could do and I think its affecting how much money I should have against how much I actually do have. I certainly do not wanna slip back into my old ways0 -
Glad your little girl had a good parent's evening
I didn't realise they did anything for as early as nursery lol

I was a little surprised too lol, but I think it may be coz she is due to leave, they wanted to give us like a overall view of how she has been doing and what things she has been up to. She starts full time in Sept at school so going to be a big change for her.0 -
Evening All,
Hope Saturday has been good to you all. Today has been a bit of a chilled one, took the little one to drama class and me & partner went and had breakfast and picked up a few essentials. Its really strange I have started to get annoyed now at spending anything at all ha, even on the essential stuff we need, I find myself feeling guilty for buying stuff that isn't been paid to debt. Anyone else get this feeling early on in to their journey?
It got me thinking that over the last few months my work schedule as been a bit all over and i have ruined my sleep pattern, my excercise pattern is destroyed and i generally feel a bit run down i have properly slipped out of taking care of my own body. Is this what happens with shift work? i generally was fine but for some reason last few months i feel like i have fallen so out of the routine i was in, i really need to buck up my ideas! I think its all a case of preparing better
Sorry for the negative non MSE vibes long ramble just nice to have some where to write it all down...its strange as i know this journey makes things better for us, just made me realise i am far from having the healthy balance i need to find.0 -
Yeah I imagine it's fairly normal at the start of a journey, just from being so focused! It'll settle down once it becomes more of a habit
Make sure you're taking care of yourself, eating properly, etc. Don't want to become poorly!0 -

I am going to start getting back into a proper routine. I just think I have been tired and out of sync.

Evening All,
Just a quick check in to keep my diary ticking over
Today as been a NSD as been at work on days, managed to take lunch and also no C*sta, which means I am well on track to reach my July target, I have yet to have a costa. I do think I haven't really missed it as replaced with nice coffees/flavoured lattes at work for a fraction of the price.
There has been no real movement debt wise but hopefully I will be paying off mum by end of this month.
Take care all. I will have a proper catch up on diaries over next few days, feel like no chance to do so when I am working days haha0 -
Well done on the coffee replacements0

Well done on the coffee replacements
haha such a smart tipand also quite a simple to make the change really i can't even begin to think of how much money its saved me. I just don't even think about it now unless we are out for a coffee when the little one is at drama but so far I have resisted the temptation.
