Oh love a good 50% off deal!
We're off to Edinburgh on Friday to see the Lion King and going to the Slug and Lettuce for 50% off cocktails!
I wish they just paid us normally tbh.

Evening All,
Another NSD racked up, seem to be doing okay with these at the moment. I think this is down to the meal planning which is working really well. We now go through the list properly and add the little that we need as a one of rather than what we buy regular. Its not saving loads of money but it is ensuring that we are only making one trip to the supermarket and that is helping alot.
Not much else going off really. Everything is pretty steady at the moment. I was bought a book about like self focus and goal setting and about trying to keep in a positive frame of mind and its really helping. I have also decided what gym i am going to sign up to i just need to make time to do that and go for induction.
Saving made this week on mobile sim plan of about £9 which doesn't sound a lot but it all helps right haha :rotfl:
Hope everyone is doing okay. Also decided that YNAB is deffo the way forward, i found it so simple to manage once i got used to it. I just have to now find the money to get it

They had a monthly option when I put in my card info yesterday, but it does work out cheaper to pay the year upfront. The book sounds great, what is it called?0 -

I saw they had an option to pay monthly, I think I will wait til I have a little spare in the budget and then buy the full year
The book is great, I always thought stuff like this was abit crazy but it just helps me focus and write down aims/goals and also has a few stuff in that seems trivial but actually when im getting fed up I just do a few of the activities things and just feel a bit better

Hey All,
Hope everyone is doing ok. Last few days have been spent decluttering..YAY i never ever realised i had so many clothes. I am getting them all bagged up, not sure if to just take to a charity shop or do one of those cash for clothes things.
Today I have finally started moving forward with plans to try improve my general health and fitness. So after a few weeks of putting it off I have finally decided on the gym and signed up. 1st month was half price and no sign up fee so took the plunge, also no contract so if I get lazy :rotfl: I can stop without penalty. It is right near work so I plan to go a few days a week either before or after work and possibly once or twice on my days off. I can take a family member or friend 4 times a month so partner is going to go once a week for now as part of my membership so overall not too bad
Meal plan is also going well, did shop today and stayed within budget so all good there tooFinally feel like food budget getting under control. Although I did make myself look rather silly today so did shop and scan and forgot to scan 1 thing so had to have woman unpack the lot to rescan:rotfl::rotfl:
Oh also applied for a new job too so hoping may get positive news on that front as well, im always worried about changing jobs as where I am is quite secure even if its not that great. The new role is doing similar but only set hours and is more money too so could suit me better.0 -
Hey Hey All,
Hope everyone is doing well.
The last week has been pretty much low spend so no grumbles there. I have also managed to stick to the food budget, helped by the meal plansIts a total new way of doing stuff as normally shopped without a list and bought food I liked but often much got thrown away. The new way is better structured and we are now eating way more healthy.
Not really much happening MSE wise, but I am counting down to payday just so i can pay off one debt. My plan is to pay DT1 off in full and make a dent in DT2 which is current balance £210, ideally I would love to have them both paid off but that would possibly be a little stretch but we shall see.
The budget overall is holding up well, I get paid in just over a week and we have plenty of food and petrol should pretty much be good, i have a little tucked away should i need it for petrol.
Got few days off now to try and relax but for some reason i feel so drained so slept way longer than normal...i must have needed it!
Hope everyone has a fab week0 -
