- Grocery Shop: I need to do a food shop but unsure if to do online or just go to Ald! Aldi does save us money but not sure we always get what we need, maybe the meal plan will help with this. Not done but decided against online, so going to Ald! in the morning and will pick up the few bits extra from A*da.0

Dan you're a man on a mission, super focused at the moment! Best of luck with your plans & targets. Thanks for all your encouragement o my diary too (even if you have just kind of cost me £130 :rotfl: )
Looking forward to continuing to cheer you on in 2020, you can do it! :T:T0 -

hahaha :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: that made me giggle...one day you will thank me for it.
I am feeling super focused at the moment, I have really got into the zone. If someone would have told me a year ago I would be looking at de-cluttering and a total re think of the way I live I would think they were crazy!! Its early but I can genuinely see a benefit of not having as much stuff but valuing what I do have.
Thank you so much for the cheering on and encouragement since starting my diary. I wasn't sure how this would go at the start but it really has helped.
I fear I will go into posting overload right now, but it is keeping me on the ball right now0 -
Hey All.
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Today is just a nice relaxed day, done the grocery shop and found it so much easier sticking to newer meal plan so hopefully that will go well. I think over course of month it will work out slightly cheaper, but eating better is main focus at the moment as we were spending lots but not eating proper.
Back to work tomorrow so will be late night tonight in preparation for night shifts, maybe a boxset haha
Will pop back later to go over goals for 2020!0 -
A few goals going into 2020
1 - Become Debt Free : I would love to be DF by the end of 2020 and looking at the figures this is 100% do-able providing i am strict in sticking to a budget and paying off what I should be.
2 - Save 1k Emergancy Fund: I plan to do this by putting in £500 by March if possible and then topping up every month
3 - Save 1k Help To Buy : This one is not up high on my list but I want to get as close to 1k as possible and will do so by topping up every month
4 - Own Less - Over last few weeks I have really become aware of just how simple I want my home to be and in general I would like to not own as much pointless stuff. My plan is to make it so that I can put my time into other stuff and spending time gaining experiences rather than material stuff, I am interested to see how this pans out.
5 - Get A Qualification - My work life is a little chaotic at the moment I am not totally ready for giving in but there is a lot that is currently unsettling me here, if I can possibly aim to start a new qualification to start the process of progressing my career. I have to be careful though as I am not in a position to go all out attack and upset work (which is what a colleague as done)
There is probably more but I will focus on these for now.0 -
Great goals! Here’s to a fantastic 2020 :-)0

Hi Dan!
Well done on smashing your debts this year and on the new mindset!
I'm too looking at getting rid of a lot of stuff and selling/donating/tipping next year. When I moved in two years ago I had gotten rid of half my stuff, and I seem to have accumulated things again! I'm good at the that :rotfl: I'm going to try and not do the same thing this time once I have cleared things out.
Your 2020 goals look great and I know you are going to smash them too!
Thanks for the encouragement over on my thread this year also
Happy New Year!0 -
