  • I plan to make a payment to lowell account to bring this total down to £100. In the new year i need to think of best way to do this.

I can't remember off of the top of my head, have you made a settlement offer to Lowell to save yourself some money?
One is for a payday loan taken out stupidly but default back on Dec 4th 2013 so that should come off report soon right?

It goes six years after the default date, so should have dropped off 4th December this year, though it may take a little time to update I believe :)
I have a lot of negetive energy in my every day work place and my release from this was to run/swim/boxercse stuff and due to my stupid body i can't do this and i get frustrated, is that something that makes sense??

I did on one of them, i have a few with them. This one is full price but is only a tiny amount. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on your view most of my debts are now defaulted so I don't have the interest to worry over.

I thought it was 6 years, so should update soon hopefully. I am not really focused on my credit report as i don't really wanna worry about credit again yet. I get that sometimes it needed cars/mortgage but i will not be jumping in for a long time haha if ever

Thank you for the link, i will have a look. I was not sure if i was just been over-dramatic. I just generally feel like if i could do exercise/run i would get a lot of stress out. Haha i can't imagine you as a moody cow somehow :rotfl: although i probs have been more grumpy than usual too

Might as well save yourself the pennies even if it's only a small amount, especially if it's a defaulted debt, won't make too much different in the long run settling it rather than paying in full :)

    hey

sometimes all you need to do is write your feelings down to help you process how you really feel. i think your summary is full of positives for you.
Debt - not down as much as you would have liked but it is down
Finance - you are understanding your money and planning ahead, the mindset is shifting and you are taking more control
Career - everyone has the rubbish days at the office, sometimes a bit of job adverts browsing does wonders! but you are focusing your mind into what you may actually want to do to earn a living, its not a decision that needs to be made overnight, allow yourself time to explore and investigate options
Personal - you know how you destress which is a good thing and you are aware when you get frustrated, whilst you cant do the high impact stuff at the moment maybe just chucking on some headphones and going for a walk, start small and the rest will come?

its hard when you start focusing on one aspect of your life because everything else suddenly comes into focus but as you say "life is a scary tough ride but you gotta try kick its !!!. "

i would say just keep doing what your are doing, everything will suddenely appear better when you least expect it!

    Hey,

Thank you so much for your comments, it is always nice to get other peoples viewpoint on things. I think i find it easier to write my emotions and feelings down rather than speaking openly about them

The debt dropping gives me a focus like never before, when I question if i am making progress i just look at where i have come from and the position i am now. I still have things to work out for sure but I will get there.

Work is something i always get so caught up in, probs like many others do. I would consider myself outgoing and quite chatty, however at the minute that is changing at work. Overall i like my job and believe if i was given chance to progress i would be happy, but several failed promises about progression have made me think. I am certainly not in a place where i would just walk but i need to map a plan out :)

I have just booked another docs appointment to discuss this MRI i have done everything else they have asked. I maybe need to find a less active way for now to de-stress. I don't its crazy like you say when you focus on things it then gets mind racing about other things. I have always worried about debt and finances in some respect for a while but never actively fixed it, so maybe now that is under control i am worrying about other stuff that was put out of thought
  • Hey All,

Hope everyone is good. Today as been a busier day than i though would be, waited in this morning waiting for the new boiler to be delivered which it now has been YAY. Also had the good news it is now been fitted in the morning rather than Monday morning :) so that is a relief. It is very strange how much we take for granted so many things in life and when that thing is removed it puts in perspective things. We just turn on tap and expect hot water and in many ways we are so lucky that it does but not everyone has that.

I then went to take the little one to visit her Nan and the grandad which she loved. It is still a little cautious when visit my dad since the whole fall. They have advised it was part alcohol but also that he has a brain aneurysm and now can have a really adverse affect to light but I need to research a little more into the condition but he still drinking (although not as much) which can not be helping

I then got paid my wage which I knew was going to be higher than normal due to extra days but the taxman must have felt like not be a scrooge as I got just short of 200 more than I budgeted..result. I just have to be careful as my bills are not all due yet so need to track this carefully.

In more slightly funny news, I have just woke up on my childs bed after us both falling asleep whilst I was reading her bedtime story :rotfl::rotfl: pretty sure the adult is not meant to fall asleep too hahaha.

Off to make some manual payments, then do some online xmas shopping
  • Hey All,

Another busy day passes, this one was rather spendy too haha, all budgeted and saved for though. It felt so good to be spending money and knowing I didn't need to feel guilty coz I was missing a bill. Its really embarrassing to admit but for the 1st time this year it looks like I am going to go into new year with all my priority debts up to date! That for me is a win for sure.

So today I managed to get most of the xmas shopping done, was expecting it to be packed out but it was steady in the shopping centre. We had planned to go early but we had boiler installed today so we now have a lovely warm house and hot water again. However this took a lot longer to install than first thought it would.

I have a few final bits to pick up tomorrow that are already purchased. Final day of been 33 :O hahaha. I love xmas but I will be glad when I can focus this extra money into debts. Also for the 1st time in about 3 years my gas/electric account shows in credit :)

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend
  • Monthly update definitely not moany, more a taking stock and time to reflect I'd say. All important for helping you focus on what you want to do to move forward. Life has a funny way of biting you on the bum when you least expect it but you sound so much more in control than when you started your diary.
With your knee, keep persevering. I know from DH's experience how frustrating it is trying to get further medical support but if it's affecting other aspects of your life you need to keep pushing them for answers.
Good result on the extra pay, boiler repair and budgeted Xmas spends. 3 reasons to be cheerful :)

    Morning DITR :)

Yeah i would say the positive far outweighs the negative at the moment but yeah i do fear the bum biting moment unfortunately, hehe just my nature i think. I would agree money things are more in control now than ever before, however i am still guilty of the odd f*** it moment!

The knee thing is just something that is driving me insane as it is preventing me doing a lot of things I like to do and also now hurts more than ever before.

Defo happy with the boiler repair, also more happy that the electric is now in credit. I am doing good i just think i need to let the positive come through and try focus less on stuff that i have no control over.
