Unless thyre complete idiots, their lawyers will have explicitly talked this through with them
Oh wait.
Yeah i reckon OPS have no idea...6 -
Well certainly neither appear to be the sharpest tools in the box. Presenting that redacted contract time and time again was not smart. It was only a matter of time. I am surprised at QDR, being solicitors an 'awl.

Well, QDR is owned by Wright Hassall, another solicitors firm who have represented PPCs in the past, iirc.

They filled the interregnum between London Councils POPLA leaving and the Ombudsman POPLA coming on board. They made some horrible decisions (not quite at as low-a-level as the IAS) and my suggested name for them at the time of WHOPLA quickly became the used acronym for the Wright Hassall debacle across a number of forums.MothballsWallet said:Well, QDR is owned by Wright Hassall, another solicitors firm who have represented PPCs in the past, iirc. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I strongly disagree. Wright Hassall LLP are a fine upstanding firm, who have wisely chosen to be shirt sponsors for the most exciting team to support in the Gallagher Premiership.Ralph-y said:sorry for the off topic ..... I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.5 -
As said they were given the job of POPLA which we called WHOPLA, .... WRIGHT HASSALL SOLICITORS. They made a complete mess and it was going along the lines of Gladstones and IPC scam. Wright Hassall by the way went on the attack with NHS staff in Wales, a well known case. So don't be surprised about QDR, the offshoot of Wright Hassall .... just feel sad for the low lifechelostar said:Well certainly neither appear to be the sharpest tools in the box. Let's just say they are going to have trouble next time they try an Eastgate Wharf case in front of that Judge, or those he talks to, or me. Let's also say I know of a case in the offing that they can't discontinue!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well done, fantastic result. It's always nice to see a scammer get a good hiding in court, especially when it hits them in their pockets so hard.
According to their costs schedule
£250 to QDR Solicitors, £200 to LPC Law, £100 in court costs, oh and not forgetting the £80 to ZZPS for debt recovery services!
With the £528 in costs to the defendant that's a tidy £1158 in total.
Brilliant.
