So good to see lots of people joining us and well done to those who are already making in roads in getting some extra cash, you are ahead of me at the moment.
Its payday tomorrow so will be sitting down and working out how much I can pay off this month without leaving me too short.
I have over £140 in Quidco so once this comes through it will go straight on the card. Can't wait to get the debt under the £1k markProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Hi guys,
Over the weekend I have managed towards another 68 pounds, which will get paid in the next few weeks along with a hundred pounds I have already earnt and hopefully some more money.
Currently, along with my rent money due on Saturday I need to earn another 90 pounds to be able to clear my first debt!! My sofa at 600 pounds. So hopefully within two weeks this will be paid in full! WAHOO!!Debt Free - done

Well done you that would be fantasticProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Thanks but then I will have to worry about my Lloyds cc -680 pounds! So minus Januarys rent that will leave 320 to find, once I get internet at home I shall try the bingo and Ebay/Amazon like mad. I am determined to pay off as much as possible but even if I dont make my challenge of about 3.5k then anything has to be better than nothing.
This will be my second debt paid off as a dfw, although my od has also been reduced by 1k which is great.
Come April I think we should all add up how much we have paid off collectively and then you especially can give yourself a big pat on the back for organising this challenge!Debt Free - done

Had some relatively good news, hubby has been given some new rounds on his job as a driver and the guy he took over from advised him about some work on the side, which will net him about £40 cash in hand every Monday
hubby then said that he will give it all to me to throw at the debts, but I said to him that he can keep half and give me half if he needs to buy something, so thats extra money coming our way every week, plus with me now being on maternity hubby can now bang in loads of hours without having to rush home for me to go to work.
This challenge is looking good, I was really worried we wouldn't be able to do it.
~I've got £239 in my quidco which should be paid into my account at the end of January,
~our child benefit and tax credits will be going up once baby arrives,
~cash in hand from hubby's jobs,
~plus overtime worked,
~plus I will be entitled to a work bonus payable in February

I know I’m a bit late but please can I join in?
I have £2371 on a really high interest (12.9%!!) loan.
I’ve been doing the £10 a day challenge and did quite wellbut not all of the money is ‘collectable’ ie I’ve got a fiver clocked up on a few different survey sites but have to wait to get £20 to actually claim it. And also I’ve been counting money I didn’t spend on fags!
Now I reckon if I keep on with the £10 a day (not counting the money saved by not smoking as I didn’t really have it to start with) that’s 126 days or £1260 – a HUGE amount to overpay from the loan. :T
I’m also going to set myself a target of reducing spending – I’ve posted my SOA and I should have £300 spare a month but I never seem to actually see it. So I’m currently hunting that £300 like crazy and if I manage to locate it for December, January, February and March that’s another £1200.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how many of us manage it! Have a sneaking suspicion that I won’t be one of them but at least by trying hopefully it’ll do some good.
spent ages doing these workings out so please don’t say I’m too late!!

Is there room for one more?
Other than my student loan (which I don't count), I just have one debt - a loan that covered the final repayment on my car. I want to have it paid off by 11th April next year cos that's my 25th birthday and it seems like a good milestone to try and be debt-free by
The loan was taken out in August and with the normal repayments, by April I'll have paid back £1200 or so. I'll call it a nice round £2000 extra to try and find by April then.
Sounds a lot but I don't have that many outgoings so it'll just be a case of stopping frittering money on silly things and earning extra when I can. I have tons of books that can go on Amazon so will make a start on that next week (the house is being decorated at the moment so everything is in boxes and I can't find any of the books I want to sell!).
So then, things I've done already:- saved £600 in total from Oct & Nov's wages.
- put in a form to claim overtime - £105.14
- filled in a work expenses form - approx £40
- earned about £100 due from Quidco in Dec/Jan.
- £9.99 payout from Ciao.

YAY - reached my £100 target in a week from Amazon Marketplace!!! Happy me!! Only another £830 more to go by April..!!!
This Wednesday I will be paying off another £100 from my wages! So thats only another £730 needed by April..!!!
Might try my luck and fill in an AQA application form tonight!!0
