It's FRIDAY at last :j :j
This time next week, I should be making some hefty over payments to my debts!!
Not going to be a NSD today as mentioned earlier in the thread, Sunday won't be one as the money for our hotel on Saturday night will be paid, not too sure on Saturday as it stands, depends what we do with OH's family. But still, good to have got 4 under my belt in the first week.
I also have a birthday card to add to the list of things to buy, it's one I always forget, but I've remembered just under a week before this time :rotfl:
I didn't go to the gym as the weather was awful, however I did finally get round to trying some at-home yoga, so that still feels productive, I just didn't need to brave the icy cold, super-strong winds!!
Another wash in the machine this morning on a delay timer to sort out when I get home, then will do a further wash of my uniform, etc, then I should be all caught up other than hoovering and mopping the floor(s).
I did an online shop (with a new customer money off code) to arrive on Sunday evening, so I don't need to be sorting any of that out this evening, and also got a couple of Christmas food items to make the most of the money off voucher.
I will try and get a few extra hours of work in this evening, as I won't be able to do much over the weekend, although I should still be able to do a little bit0 -

It being Friday gets a yay from me too! That's great to hear about the overpayments SSDD23, you must be happy.I didn't go to the gym as the weather was awful, however I did finally get round to trying some at-home yoga, so that still feels productive, I just didn't need to brave the icy cold, super-strong winds!!
It is awful, really blustery. At least strong winds are invigorating but can't say I enjoyed the trek from the station to work this morning! Yay on the yoga, I love yoga.0 -

Australia is 100% on my bucket list of places i want to visit. Orlando, New York and Sydney/Melbourne
Yay to the overpayments plan...i can not believe how close you are to debt freedom. What are you planning on doing with the extra monies you will have once you have reached debt freedom?
Yoga will do you really good, as you like to be active and stuff it might just be the thing that keeps you sane until you can get back into running fully. Are you any closer to have the foot issue resolved?Days to Orlando: 462- ☀️🎢0 -
No, I wish lol, my mum and my stepdad went over there when my stepdad got head hunted for a job
It's definitely a must-do, I feel very lucky we get to go usually once a year, I never want to come home when I'm there :rotfl:
Lucky him! Australian cities seem to regularly top best places to live lists but I chose to come here for some reason! I do like it here but I understand why people think Australia is great.0 -

The plan is mostly to overpay my car finance agreement until it's paid off and I own my car, and pay into various savings pots to cover all known expenses through the year, insurance, dentist, emergency fund, car maintenance, etc, and maybe one or two treats along the way
Re the foot, just waiting on my next referral letter to see a new team, and hopefully make some progress then.I can only do really basic stuff too but the stretches always feel really good afterwards and I just think it's good for the brain.
Definitely, some of the stretches feel amazing!0 -
Happy monday :hello:
Bit of an up and down weekend, tense in some places with OH and the kids, but it's a new week. I have put to him this morning a suggestion that the kid's mum and I meet, we don't talk, have never met, not each other's fans in the slightest, but then in fairness we don't actually know each other, and life would be ten times easier if we were able to function like a vaguely normal family arrangement, rather than everyone treading on egg shells all of the time, so I'll see how that goes down, at least then I can say I've tried to help us all move onto a new, better "normal". New year and all that, perfect time to try and change things, eh?
Got a few hours of work done over the weekend, just going to keep ploughing through it, I'm home alone until late most nights this week due to OH's workload, so it'll be nice to keep myself busy with that.
Today, however, in light of the above has encouraged me to make more changes and fresh starts coming up to the new year, so tonight I plan on having a big sort through of my clothes and general stuff that I own, as there is a lot of it and I tend to skip past two thirds of my wardrobe when looking for stuff to wear. At least when our new bed arrives on Saturday, I could perhaps store the summer clothes under there so it's only clothes I can actually wear that are out in the wardrobe, and free up some space. What I might actually do tonight is fill up a suitcase with the summer stuff, and pop it out in our shed/outhouse until I can wear any of it - I'm sure some people do that?! :rotfl:
Flying visit for now until later on today, need to print my photos off on the way home from work tonight, to put into my mum's gift, still waiting on the last item to turn up so I can send it all off, so a few more planned spends this week, which makes me grateful for being able to get a fair few under my belt last week :j0 -
I wrote a huge post earlier and then managed to click "back" instead of "post", so here I am trying again :rotfl:
I've done some sums, and I think if I am to clear the last credit card when my full-time wage comes in this month, I'm probably going to leave myself brassic and miserable until mid-January. I've spent a tad more on Christmas than I anticipated, so it's looking like I should defer my final payment until I get my SE wages mid-January. It's only two weeks later than planned at the moment, and means I won't be trying to juggle things in the mean time, so I think that's the best course of action
It's been a productive day, decorated work for Christmas and managed to decorate myself with all of the glitter from the baubles, and got plenty of exercise in as our one lift broke down so I had to walk up and down the stairs many, many times and feel I've got my workout in for the day :rotfl:
I've sorted through my wardrobe, thrown some stuff out, packed away anything summery, and also sorted through some boxes and drawers.
I've also weighed myself and measured myself, and I plan to try and lose at least one stone, and then I will be kind of back to where I was when I lost my weight before.
I've also put a wash on, now all I need to do is hunt down my postal vote and try and run it to the post box (although, this does require changing back from my pyjamas to my normal clothes) and then I'll have achieved everything I wanted to this evening.
Time to crack on and log a couple more hours online, and earn some extra pennies0 -
Happy Tuesday :hello:
The lift is still out of action at work, so I am still walking up lots of stairs and getting some exercise in, although hopefully I can just stay put for most of the day.
Found and posted my postal vote, I also got an invite from populus live about something to do with the election, I should really try and knuckle down and get to the £50 threshold on there, I'm currently at £36 I think.
My last gift for my mum has FINALLY been dispatched 8 days after buying it, so waiting on that to turn up and hoping it all arrives in time for Christmas!! I may post off their main gifts tomorrow, and then send the last one when it arrives, it's more decorative than a gift. (Just checked last posting for Oz, it's Thursday)
A few more jobs on my list for this evening and a few more spends - we need toiletries as they are going to run out before I do my big shop at the weekend, I need to return a recalled item from Matalan (thankfully wrapped under the tree as a gift and not already given to anyone) and finally get around to printing the photos for my mum's gift.
Still plodding through and logging as many hours as possible for my SE work, determined to go into the new year feeling gooooooooood0
