Happy Tuesday :hello:
I got a much better night's sleep last night
I did get up late, but thanks to the pre-made breakfast smoothies, and asking OH to make me a sandwich whilst he made one for the kids, I managed to get out of the door relatively on time
I finally got to take off the strips and plaster from my arm yesterday (the strips have been irritating my skin and driving me insane) and it is all sorts of wonderful colours from green to dark purple with the bruising :rotfl:
Made a payment of £10.01 (to have a round figure in my sig) to CC2 today, halfway paid now.
Going to make today NSD 2/15, not going to leave work on my lunch break and OH and I are just having a night in, we were going to go to the cinema but it's our only night at home together without the kids, so just looking to relax and chill out, although I might suggest we go over to the gym as we have been slacking with that, lately.
Just a quick update from me this morning unless anything spectacular randomly happens, time to have a quick catch-up on some diaries xx0 -
hey SSDD23, good to hear you slept well, and that the arm is recovering. Re quiet nights in, they are the best thing in my book! Well done on your progress with the CCs.0

Hey
Good to hear that you got a good night sleep...I somehow managed to fall asleep at 5:30pm and not wake until 7am :O that is some record for me haha, must have needed it
Well done on the progress with the CC payment, nearly there now!!0 -
Hi SSDD23, just catching up on the last few weeks, wow you're doing so well and your plans for the new budget sound amazing.
Keep going, you've got this!0 -
Happy hump day :rotfl:
9 days and counting until my next pay comes in, it cannot come soon enough!
Thinking ahead now on what I will need to pay out mid Jan when the next SE pay comes in, so far it stands at:
- repaying OH for my share of our new bed (£240)
- making an overpayment to the car finance
- paying some money into my LISA
- set some money aside into my annual car costs for next year (the first year I will have been able to pay my insurance in full, and will also pay my road tax for the year at the same time :j:j )
I could just lump my whole disposable income onto the car insurance, but I do want to pay something into my LISA to start the year off well, and should be able to do both relatively easily.
I do need to discuss with OH when he would like to purchase our tickets for Oz, and factor that into a budget somewhere, although I should just be able to pay for mine outright as long as I time it well enough in whatever month. This will be the first year I will be able to go with some decent spending money, too. Although, I still won't be able to hire a car - normally my stepdad would offer to let my drive his, but he's just brought a really expensive sports car so that offer may not be on the table this time around :rotfl:
There's a good amount of my SE work available at the moment, so just hammering that whilst it is there, in case it drops down again soon, but things are going well so farI even did an extra hour or so at home last night, but OH was happy with that as he got to play on the PlayStation and watch football :rotfl:

Another NSD under my belt today, I do need to get some bits and pieces, but I am going to try and wait and do it all in one go on Friday, therefore thinking over the purchases I really need, and maximising my NSD's this month.
I need to get (so far)
- a decent sticky pad for my new dashboard phone holder as the ones it came with are naff
- some photos printed to put into my mum's Christmas gift
- to send my mum's Christmas gifts to Oz when the last one arrives
- my last few Christmas cards (£3 total)
- another pack of gift tags for presents that have been wrapped
- a couple of cheap multi pack Christmas card boxes for people at work
I have it planned out in my head where I will be getting these from, so just a matter of running round and getting them on Friday (I would say at the weekend, but we are visiting family at the weekend, so don't want to bank on being able to do any of the things that I need to do)
Everything else is quiet at the moment, just plodding along0 -
SSDD23, my dad lives in Oz. Are you from there, if you don't mind my asking? I was born and brought up there but have been living here for yonks.0

It's definitely a must-do, I feel very lucky we get to go usually once a year, I never want to come home when I'm there :rotfl:0 -
Happy Thursday :hello:
One day closer to the weekend, one day closer to my next pay, and one day closer to the next FT pay which will clear my debts....
Today marks a fresh start with my lifestyle, I NEED to get back into exercising and eating better, I'm much heavier now than when I came back from my last Oz trip and decided to lose weight (and lost a stone). I told OH last night I was eating the last of the biscuits (my main vice) and that after that, I was turning over a new leaf. He kind of laughed at me - not 100% meant to be as insulting as I took it - but it also gives me another reason to crack on with it - I enjoy proving people wrong :rotfl:
Going to weigh myself before I go to the gym tonight, and then work out a target weight loss.
It's two years now that I've had the pain in my foot, which is half of the problem as the two things that were best for my weight loss (running and squash), I can't do as they are too high impact and hurt my foot, the same with circuit training classes, most of it is too high impact. Roll on the referral letter I am waiting on for the triage physio team, and hopefully 2020 is the year I run again
I've also found my glasses and started to wear those again on the computer like I am supposed to, but in the New Year ill get a fresh eye test done and invest in some better glasses, all of the pairs I have are pretty uncomfortable now.
Put a wash on at home this morning on a delay timer; because we are away this weekend, I need to do my weekend jobs before the weekend to avoid playing catch up next week. Plan of action is to finish work, go home, put the washing on the radiators, have a quick tidy up, and then head to the gym. When I get back (home alone until late tonight) I am going to have a little pamper session as a reward for making it to the gym.
Right - time to crack on with earning some pennies x0
