Good work on the DT2 that is coming down rapid, its amazing how much a little payment here and there really makes a difference. I also keep putting of the gym but I really need to get back into the groove its on my route to work so would only need to set off a little earlier have 45 mins or so in gym before work or after. Guess easier said than done though ahaha enjoy it :D

  • How's your foot doing these days? You've gone quiet about it, so I'm hoping it's been much better.

(Great money shuffled though- I can't wait until the morning to do mine!)

It's basically the same, had the intial NHS physio appointment which was just listing my symptoms, pain level, etc and given a few exercises to try just to go through the motions really. She said they won't be able to diagnose without an MRI which involves trying some exercises to show GP we have tried, being referred to a senior physio and THEN a referral can be made for an MRI scan. So, on the right path, just have to jump through all the hoops first!

So much easier said than done! However we got the initial induction over with and it's a nice enough seeming gym so that's all good, sometimes gyms can seem a bit intimidating or maze-like so I don't like to go on my own, but this one's great :)

    Thank you :D

Enjoy the gym. I miss the pools at my old gym but not enough to fork out monthly for it... just go swimming occasionally. OH has been talking about rejoining the gym. My work are offering a discount scheme for gyms - just waiting for the details.

    Discount is always good :D

Gym is my saviour until I can run otherwise I just become massively sedentary like I have for the past month or so. Also, we appear to get discounts with local businesses which is a nice touch :)

Although, I won't comment that one of the discounts available from the GYM is 20% off of a local pizza place :rotfl:

Well, this afternoon has been productive money-wise.

I returned an item to Asda to get £8 back, normal for most people but I seem to have this fear about returning items for no reason at all.

I went online to find out the phone number for my insurance company, to change my address. In my policy documents it said it's £50 to phone up and change your address and £35 to do it online, but it's never shown up online so was prepared to question the price if I can't do it online but fork out the £50 if needed. However, I went online today and the option was magically there to update it. It advised me of a cost of £79 which is £35 and then the cost of a policy at my new address, I guess, as I pay monthly, but it offered the option to just pay a little more with my monthly DD to pay the extra cost, so I've actually paid nothing upfront to update it :j the cost over the next 9/10 months will be minimal, and means I don't have to stress so much over getting my dad a birthday gift!

We are taking OH's kids swimming when I get it now that we have memberships for the gym, it's relatively cheap to bring them in, so well worth getting them out and active for a while.

First NSD today, hopefully one of many!

My last life admin tasks for today are to:
    - Phone up and change my address with Vehicle Tax
    - Fill out and send off my v5c with change of address
    - Phone my pension company and opt back in :j :j I opted out in March as I was repaying overpaid tax from April and things were looking a bit tight, so was going to opt back in once things were less tight. Now that I'm doing all the extra work, I can afford to start paying in again, so only ended up missing a number of months rather than around a year's worth of contributions :)
  • Well done on doing the Asda refund and good result on the insurance, everything seems to be going really well for you at the moment. Long may this continue! x

A win on the refund ( i also hate taking stuff back) i always think they moan about that customer who always returns stuff haha. Great news regarding the insurance and loving the fact you then made use of the money you would have spent

Hope you have a wonderful weekend
