If you live permanently abroad tell them so, it could cost them ££££s to take this further.
BTW, I find their below statement slanderous at best.
Libelous at best surely.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -
I know but I'm not in the UK any more. Are you permanently now domiciled outside of the UK? Are you likely to return (long term) any time in the next 6 years? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

D_P_Dance, that's the word I was missing!Umkomass, yes, most likely I won't get back to the UK unless Russia invades Poland.I will remain to have close ties to the UK though: my company, my mortgage, my partial pension one day.

pastacolg said:Thanks, guys! I nearly fell for it.nosferatu1001 said:(...) You wont be going ahead on papers, surely?! Noone here recommends that.I know but I'm not in the UK any more. The cost of flying back (whenever it will be possible) for a court hearing will exceed the PCNs. I guess a judge would not appreciate me cockily stating that I'll be available for a hearing after the pandemic. So my options are limited. Unless I ask my friend (not a lawyer) that's still in the city I lived to appear before a judge.D_P_Dance said:(...) What about your leasehold rights? Total and utter BSExactly. The only problem is that I couldn't find my leaseholder agreement on time to have it scanned and attached to my defence. I will attach it as a separate PDF page of my Witness Statement though. I think it's going to be alright as on my other case 1 year ago a judge asked for a copy during the hearing. So it seems it's never too late.B(-M)W Legalbeamerguy said:Which legal has sent you such rubbish ???
Such a nonsensical load of rubbish and puts them on a new level of incompetence, just gets worse.
Must have been written by someone at home on lockdown with nothing better to do than compose utter rubbish
BWLegal entered the parking scam knowing nothing ........ they still know nothing ... pathetic company. That letter can be ripped apart at every stage ..... and they wonder why the courts spank them ???2 -

Given they have ties to the UK including a mortgage, proving jurisdiciton would be trivial1 -
OK, thanks. I asked CCBC what is the best way to state that I'm now permanently out of country. DQ seems partiallyl inadequate.Although my friend has already agreed to come to a hearing in Basingstoke to represent me.EDIT: got an answer:Thank you for your query. Please complete the Directions Questionnaire with your new details and they will be entered once your form is processed. If you add a covering letter to your DQ, this will be forwarded to the appropriate department.

Have you told BWL of your (now) permanent address? Why not send them a Summary Cost Assessment to include flight tickets, hotel accommodation, cost of a hire car in order to attend the hearing? Be bullish about your extremely strong case and your likelihood of prevailing. You will, in addition to the above costs, be seeking punitive costs in view of their unreasonable behaviour which amount to .... (see NEWBIES FAQ sticky, second post, for the types and levels of costs associated with unreasonable behaviour claims). All the above should come to an eye-watering amount, you need to be making them think very hard about continuing to pursue you! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
