Double Parking Charge Notice for "Not displaying a valid permit"

Sadly, gates don't necessarily stop rogue parking
Having said that I fully agree you shouldn't be penalised for parking in your own allocated space,0 -
If you win, potentially sue the MC for hiring a company to trespass on your demised space.
CHarge them the local daily parking rate, as they have seen fit to sell you space to a company that permits people to park there as long as THEY get paid, and you see none of it - despite it being YOUR space and YOURS alone.0 -
I might consider this. Firstly I want to win this time and I believe I have a strong case.
Last time I didn't respond to any letters from them until I got a Claim Form. I understand that this time I should calmly reply to them that I do not agree with their invoice. Is that correct?
Is it worth to appeal to Independent (who are they kidding?) Appeals Service?0 -
Thanks! I won't appeal then.
You're right. I should read the stuff that applies before the claim form. I'm on it. Thanks.0 -
I've got an update to this thread.I got a single Court Claim issued on 12th February with a total £320 + £60 (their legal fees) claimed. At least they were conscious enough to not claim both tickets separately.I did AoS which gives me just a couple of days left to submit my defence. But I'm not sure if I'll be in a position to defend this case as sadly I'm leaving the UK in a month time. The total cost of travel required to attend a hearing in person could surpass the claimed amount.Do you think I stand chance if choosing hearing on the papers alone? Or maybe even the parking company will not proceed with the case once they receive my strong defence. I wish!

What is the Issue Date on your County Court Claim Form?
On what date did you file an Acknowledgment of Service?1 -
Sorry, the issue date is 13th Feb. I filed an AoS on 24th Feb.

You can use the new template defence (search the forum) and can have it heard on the papers by putting in a very strong WS and evidence even from abroad.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
