Thank you mutton Geoff and jrose for your lovely comments. The area behind is parkland so won’t be built on, they may build to the side of us eventually. There is a play area to the far side of the field so don’t want to lower the fence really, I do agree with your point though!
I’m currently decluttering and taking new photos to show that there’s only a few grey walls in the house, will then spend the afternoon contacting local agents. It personally wouldn’t bother me who I bought through as its the house I’m buying, not the agent but didn’t think it would put so many off.0 -
I also appreciate what people are saying about new builds, however this is our taste, and hopefully the house we will hopefully move to will be our forever home, it’s got a huge garden and we could see ourselves there for years. Plus every house has to be a new build at some point right?0

The house is lovely very well kept
Most house buyers understand when buying a house they usually have to decorate to their own taste if I bought that house I'd keep most of it the same
Purple bricks always have mixed reviews but if someone wanted your house they'd buy it regardless who's selling it
I'm afraid for me , house buying and selling is stressful enough without adding PB into the mix. No house especially (no disrespect to OP at all) as this type are two a penny ., I'd be looking at something else for sure.
Yes everyone has there own tastes but making a room smaller than it is won't help, it's not about colour scheme it's getting the light and feeling of space into a room without knocking down walls
When you are in competition with many others which are similar or even bigger you have to do everything possible to get those people through the door .. you are selling so the colour scheme shouldn't matter to you now
I do like the grey in general but some of the tones are way too dark , colour can be introduced through soft furnishings
When you have a more unique house which is quirky and not many like it, then you can go a bit bold as it will only appeal to like minded people with nothing to compare it to , but new builds are very similar in most aspects ..just room dimensions that change0 -
As everyone has already said, it's price. For houses with no viewings it will either be extremely niche or priced too high.
The price you paid and the amount you need for the next house is completely irrelevant. You can wait at the current price, and it will sell when the market catches up; the next house will have increased in price by a proportional amount.0 -
I love the grey!!
Photos look great. Is there any chance that field behind will be built on?
I'd just be patient and wait for the right buyer.
It is only 2 bedroom, so your market will be limited.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Got round to looking at the pics.We have been here 18 months, we initially bought a 2 bed as we planned to emigrate and would rent this out (rental market is booming here and 2 beds are in demand hence why we bought this) but have since decided against this and are moving to a 4 bed home to start a family.
You bought it as a potential rental but personalised it a lot.
Good point by others about the fence view not field view.0 -
I just looked again, you have concrete fence posts, perfect for switching panels easily. I’d definitely swap the centre two for a lattice like this:

£90 for two, I reckon it will really open up your garden.Signature on holiday for two weeks0 -
Nope, zero chance of it being built on, its parkland with a play area to the far side of it. There are plans for more developments in the village but at the other end of the village. One other recent development has had phase 2 refused.
Maybe the photos make it look dark (and yes I know some of you don’t like grey) but we have so much natural light, and when you’re inside it isn’t small. Our viewers from 2 days ago couldn’t believe how big it was compared to the photos, and also commented about the natural light.
Baby blade I would agree with your comment, however there are no 2 beds around here, all the new housing developments we went to are crying out for 2 beds to be built because they have so many people wanting them but they won’t build them. This is why we can’t understand our lack of interest maybe it is price, but we certainly won’t de dropping it by £20k as some of you have suggested. If you knew the area you would know why.0 -
Thank you mutton Geoff appreciate that, however don’t feel comfortable changing it with a park behind, we would feel to exposed to the public. A lot of people walk past as there’s a public footpath next to us, don’t feel so secure with the garden being open.0
