Splitting the boys up today has worked well. Once DS2 and I got home both boys went to the playground for an hour and then have been in the garden playing reasonably nicely with each other. They both got a better sleep last night which has helped their behaviour too.

Not much else to report today, just waiting on an A$da delivery coming then it will be showers and bed for us all, DH already having a soak in the bath as he's still feeling unwell.

We did win £5 on Set 4 Life last night so that's been added to the PAD.

Well I had an unexpected turn up for the books at work this morning, we had a team meeting where it was proposed that rather than replacing my colleague who left earlier this year (having struggled to find a suitable replacement) would me and one of my team members like to split the advertised hours and have our contracts increased?

We've been covering the hours for the last few months anyway, hence the regular overtime I've had so it seems like a total no-brainer to accept the extra hours on a permanent basis. Will chat it over with DH before making a final decision but we've managed fine since my hours have increased so I'm sure he'll agree it's a good move. Plus, you know, it's extra money too 😂

The boys are having a chill day at Mums while me and DH are out for work then I'll pick them up and head straight to their swimming lesson so at least that's a bit of exercise for them today.

Well despite my best efforts I've come down with DH's cold, just in time for my annual leave, my throat feels like it's filled with razor blades and I've just fallen asleep for an hour on the sofa since coming home from work 😐

DH is at least feeling better.

The boys have had another day at Mums while we were at work so they've been suitably spoiled again. They're just burning off some energy at the local playground, DS2 is especially enjoying having that bit of extra freedom these summer holidays to go there with DS1 & DS1 does a good job of gently keeping him in check when needed 😉

After talking things through with DH last night I have today accepted the increase to my contracted hours so this will start on my return from annual leave 🙌

Not at a lot else happening today so I'll leave it there.

Feeling pretty yuk today, thankfully the boys have been happy hanging around the house, DH also WFH so we've all been home today. I made a pan of vegetable soup and baked some part baked rolls for lunch. Between those, fruit and yogurt we've all just eaten when we can be bothered/have time and just gone with the flow.

The kids have been out to play with the neighbours kids for a couple of hours, a mixture of playground and both of our gardens so at least they've had a bit of company and fresh air.

DH out for a gig tonight. Once he goes out I'm hoping to leave the boys watching a film while I have a long soak in the bath 🤞

Had a V!nted bundle sale today, that's packed and ready to go the next time one of us is passing a parcel drop off place. Had a further £6 cleared on there today, have added to the CC PAD.
