Thanks @ohdearhowdidthathappen it was very much needed x

Payday today, £75 from overtime added to today's PAD. I did have a bit more overtime paid but we're keeping that set aside for the summer holidays that are now only 2 sleeps away in anticipation of ad-hoc spends that might arise 😊

The issue that happened with my car a couple of days ago happened again on the school run this morning, except the car went completely into limp mode. As luck would have it, it happened in a street close to both the kids school the garage we've used for years so I saw the kid across the busy road that leads to a safe walk to school and they made their own way in, then went round to the garage and explained what had happened.

One of the mechanics came out to have a look and was really lovely in saying we could probably do the repair ourselves if we got the part (he knows DH is fairly handy). Phoned DH and the mechanic explained what needed done then he gave me a link to the part required. I walked home and got DH's car to go and pick up the spare part then came back, picked DH up and drove back to my car and, thankfully, the repair worked!

I'm going to pick up some biscuits and chocolates to drop round to the garage as a thank you, they were fantastic, as was DH coming to my rescue on his lunch break. So that was a very unexpected way of filling in my time this morning 😂

No updates on any of the health issues around family and friends, elderly Uncle remains very poorly. Unbelievably my bestie told me today that she's also been fast tracked after speaking to her doctor yesterday so my smallish circle of family and friends are really going through the mill at the moment, don't have to look for trouble do we?

I'm just trying my best to be as supportive and positive for everyone as much as I can, my phone has been working overtime the last few days keeping up with everyone!

Just waiting on the boys getting home from school, my sister in law is picking them up then we'll have a quick bite to eat before we head back out for their swimming lessons. Then it will be back home in time for the big match, come on England!!!

Oh well never mind England, maybe next time the lions can match the standard of the lionesses 😉 ⚽

Full on day at work today for DH & I and the boys needed cheering up after their first footballing heartbreak so after tea we went for a walk along the local coastline which turned into the boys running into the sea for a swim fully clothed.

Not a bad thing apart from the fact we didn't have a change of clothes or towels with us! Once we got back to the car I made them sitting on the big reusable shopping bags I keep in the car boot. Once home they stripped off by the washing machine & threw everything in before they went straight in the shower.

I fear I'll be finding random grains of sand in the car and house for a while but totally worth it, the boys had a blast!

    The usual £2 PAD today.

Hectic day, school's out for summer and the sun is still shining here so not a bad Friday. We have a work and gig free weekend ahead of us too 😊

The kids are overjoyed to have broken up for summer, they've headed out to a playground close by to burn off some energy. I'm off out shortly with a friend to watch a play, hoping the venue has air-con, will take my trusty hand held fan just in case!

DH has had a couple of appointments come through for early next week and I caught up with face to face with my friend this morning who has also been fast tracked and she's also got appointments in place next week so hopefully a step closer to both of them getting some answers.

£7 from V!nted today added to the PAD so £9 paid off.

    Thanks @beanielou 😊

Well the play last night was really good, lovely way to spend an evening.

We enjoyed a slower start to the morning. We decided to get out and enjoy the weather so DH and I made a picnic and filled a few drinks bottles and headed to the beach We went to a more secluded area than the other evening and pretty much had our own private beach. Enjoyed a bit of footy on the sand and the boys loved being able to run in and out of the sea. It was lovely to see their confidence in the water, their swimming lessons are really paying off.

Hoping to watch the England match tonight but not convinced any of us will still be awake by 10pm 😂

Also had a V!nted sale today, one of DS1's things so he'll get the money from that.

Wow, did not expect that match to be quite as entertaining as it was, to be fair I don't think anyone else did either 😂

Only DH & I stayed up long enough to watch but the kids caught up this morning.

We headed out for a walk after a late breakfast to drop off v!nted parcels (had another bundle sold overnight) and then our BIL, SIL and their 3 kids came round for the afternoon so we enjoyed sitting out in the garden while the kids played in the paddling pool.

So a lovely day all round. Trying to make theost of these sunny days while we can.

Dropping the boys at Mums soon for a sleepover so that I can attend DH's hospital appointment with him early tomorrow. They're planning on watching the World Cup final, not sure if Mum will be onboard although she's very indulgent with them being her youngest grandchildren 😊

    £2 PAD today.

Oh my goodness, too much sunshine and too many late nights watching football mean I have 2 very grumpy boys on my hands today, not a very pleasant Monday off with them 😤 Despite my best efforts to let them chill and relax, it's been a losing battle so they'll both be having an early night to try to get them back on track as I'm back to work tomorrow.

DS1 will stay at home with DH as he is WFH tomorrow and DS2 will go to Mums as I think the boys could do with a break from each other. This should work out well as DS1 likes to be a bit more independent & DS2 loves being on his own with Mum as he gets spoiled 😊

DH appointment went as well as it could, just need to wait on the next appointments/tests coming through. He also woke up loaded with cold after feeling off-colour yesterday so he's feeling very sorry for himself at the moment, so he's also getting sent to bed for an early night 😂

In money news I've slightly re-jigged how I pay down the debts. Minimum payment on the Barc!aycard is less than £10 per month as the balance is now £950 so I have reduced the amount I pay from £25 to £10 for now and then increased V12 from £75 to £90.

Once V12 is clear then that £90 payment will go back to Barc!aycard as that's the next smallest debt, so £100 per month there will soon see it go down if things go to plan.

    £2 PAD today.

    Debt Total is now £4200 (V12 £450)

Looking forward to getting into the £3k's soon, hopefully next pay day at the latest 🤞
