You're right, I'd only seen the 65 and 75 numbers mentioned.0

when I text INFO to 85075 on Tesco mobile
Here is the full reply
"Just letting you know that we've replied to a switching request (INFO) for 447**********. If you weren't expecting this, please call us on 4455 from your Tesco Mobile phone
If you end your contract today, your early termination charge will be £**.**. If you end your contract on another day, this amount will be different. For more info, please go to tescomobile.com/account"0 -
Tried the 85075 on VM and got an error message saying the keyword needs to be "INFO" followed by my date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format.0

I hear a number of the networks are going to be doing this as a security feature.
You wouldn't want your acc to suddenly stop and your number vanish because someone else had liked the look of your number?
I can also see a few posts on here over the next few months along the line of 'I lent my mate my phone and he got my PAC and took my number!'0 -
I tried Tescomobile again now, sent INFO to 85075 and I recieved the same reply:-
"Thanks, but we need to talk to you about your switch. Please call us on 4455 from your Tesco Mobile phone".
No mention of how much the termination will cost me or anything similar.0 -

Perhaps you are out of minimum contract period hence no charge mentioned??0 -
Obtaining and using the PAC will terminate your contract without any need to call and give notice. You will be informed of any outstanding charges payable including for notice period.
EE are also likely to call and ask what SIM only plan you intend to move to and offer you a discounted deal to match it, so it might be worth waiting for that before signing up for a new one.
Thanks for that.
I followed d123 post No.23 and it said that i would owe £7.33.
I think that is i leave today but as i will leave on or after 7/7/2019 it should nearly zero but i will wait and see.
The last time 2 years ago i was when i asked for PAC i went round and round the houses before i got the PAC and the day before my min contract end date they called and i was offered S8 and 4gb unlimited sms/calls for £33 pm and no upfront costs so i took it as it was £3 less than any other company.
I dont need a new phone and a sim only deal will do me but EE are so expensive i will go elsewhere but i am not sure who to.0 -
I've tried to obtain a PAC from EE by text today with no success, however this 'may' be because my old Orange account hasn't been fully changed to EE yet (sounded like a reasonable excuse).
Having to call CS has done me a favour though, as EE have beaten the SIM-only deal I was going to take with another provider (and significantly better than the deals they have on their website).
So it seems to be the same as car/home insurance etc. - a phone call can still save you money...
To Boohoo - if you want to stay on the EE network (as I did), also look at providers that 'piggy-back' such as Virgin or BT. Also look through uswitch to maybe save another £1/month.
Then make that call to EE 150 for your PAC code!Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain ...0 -

As I mentioned, EE may offer you an equivalent, but how they would do this without your having to talk to them to get your PAC remains to be seen.Evolution, not revolution0 -
Choose whatever is suitable:

Thank you for that.
I already have my PAC, i followed d123 advice and did through my online account.
EE did call me 3 times in March, April and May about upgrading but the costs were more than i was paying now for the same data, calls and sms. That was for S10. I said about just going sim only but for the same airtime i was quoted £14 pm.
If i was going to change my phone it would be for a Samsung S10 or S10+ as that is the only mobile that i like but my S8 does me just fine now.0
