Point taken (slaps wrist) but the solicitor has done nothing wrong as far as I know.
    .

Is there a long stop date ?

When you have a voice recording of the incident, as you feared things would be twisted, and 4 independent people confirm to you that you did nothing wrong, I wouldn't say that that is the case.

    Something like 12 months.

Good news is they have announced they now have the building certificates and they will start completing contracts and moving people in over the next few weeks.

Hopefully that is true and the delays have come to an end.

After a lot of cajoling from us we got another visit to measure up. They acknowledge the show flat is the wrong dimensions.

It's still a decent flat and he would have still bought it.

Lets see if others want to kick up a fuss but I' sure people just want to move in now.

Do you guys know if Nhbc or the developers requested a cladding report during the build complete process?

No idea what has been looked at and signed off. Nu Living were always a bit vague about it.

The London Fire Brigade were involved and it was a drawn out process, or so we were told.

The cladding I have seen on my son's flat does not look like a plastic material. However, the fire safety goes beyond just the cladding.
There should be a fire safety assessment document. It should surely be made available for us to read before completion?

I am unable to get my 4th mortgage offer on this property as NU Living still haven't provided a report to the lender as regards the combustibility of the cladding. I have been told around 8 other buyers waiting on this report also before they can get their mortgage offers.

I have heard some concerning news today regarding The Paragon. My lender has been waiting for 6 weeks for a report to show that the development complies with MCHLG guidance. I have been told that the development isn't at this current level yet due to ever changing regulation. Anybody heard anything similar elsewhere?

What a mare. I'm having the same issue for a new build elsewhere in London which is also nearing completion. Waiting for a report. But cladding was put on post the guidance so hopefully it complies

What do they mean it isn't at the current level yet? Is the cladding combustible?

My son is supposed to be Completing on 1st October. No mention of MCHLG (never heard of it)

We were told they had all the appropriate certificates!

Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. I also believe the cladding went up after the guidance change which shows more negligence (or just incompetence as they keep demonstrating) from the developer.
