juliejim hope your DH is ok, must be worrying for you.
Dusty good to hear your DS had a good time

I'm officially stupid, just checked my Wilkinsons delivery, I only went and booked it for today, most of it is presents for the kids, can't think how to get them past them so only thing I can think of is to get the delivery man to put them in the boot of my car until later. I usually time these things for when they are at school but my brain must have been switched off when I ordered it.

embb know how you feel with the working out Christmas, what for who and how to pay for it, managed to allocate some of the money I had saved (rest was swallowed up with bills and car repairs) now just haven't a clue what to buy the 9 people I have left to buy for.

    My list for today

    [STRIKE]Tidy and [strike]S&S bathroom[/strike] & kitchen
    Tidying living room[/STRIKE]
    Vacuum through downstairs
    Clean stinky (sonic) out
[STRIKE]Usual meals (lasagne for tea), animals stuff etc [/STRIKE]ds1 definately better, eating like a pig!
[strike]Pot up chilli and freeze (forgot to switch SC off until late last night so haddn't cooled when I went to bed)[/strike]
15 minutes (at least) paperwork sorting
Meal plan, shopping list to go with it
[strike]Socks, gloves and hats sort [/strike]
    Cosmetics sort through
[STRIKE]Baking with the boys if they want to
Sort DS1s PC which won't work at the mo[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]See if we can work out why when DS2 plugs in his PC all the power trips off[/STRIKE]
Sort through a basket upstairs (counts as storage are I think)
Sort tins cupboard in the kitchen which is a complete muddle
[strike]Whites hang to dry,[/strike] [STRIKE]somewhere, darks load to wash [/STRIKE]and get dry
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Good morning lovely ladies.
Been doing my own thing this week as OH has been off work and its much harder to keep the place tidy when he's about:confused:
Its not looking too bad though, got my rugby girls night out tonite so will be drunk as a skunk:beer:
Will take my mind off DD surgery on Tuesday, if she gets it because she has a cough right now and is feeling quite sorry for herself. Have to take her in on monday so anaesthetist can have a look and decide if it will go ahead.

Certainly does, until you go outside! Brrrr:eek: seems to be clearing here, weather forecast said rain :( again

G&B hope you have a good night, fingers crossed for your little DD

My list just seems to be getting longer and longer, more I add the more I remember. Can't tackle the upstairs stuff until DP is up. Wonder what the chances are of the delivery turning up in the next 3minutes. Delivery time slot of 8-10am. I know now what I ordered it for then as we were supposed to be going out at 11am today but I think that's been cancelled. Wonder when the delivery will arrive

    G & B - hope your DD's okay for Tuesday.

DH eventually came home about 2am loaded with 2 lots of antibiotics. GP wasn't sure whether it was an infection or a torsion so he had to go and get it checked. Only good thing about it is because the pills came from the hospital we haven't had to pay for them!

    So plan for today is:

Visit friend at some point to collect Avon
    Kids have a party 3.45 - 5.15
Then to Biddulph for lights switch on

    And inbetween times:
Tidy and clean the whole house!

Hmm - not sure how that will work but we'll see - I've done nothing so far as I'm shattered - still in my pjs too.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend

  • Morning everyone.

I have been up since a semi-respectable 6:45 this morning with charlie. It looks like he may have conjunctivitis as one of his eyes is pink and weepy. Not too badly at the minute. Can you buy the stuff over the counter to treat it or will i have to make him a drs appointment? I'm hoping the first option as then it may be better for monday and not cause us lots of hassle sorting out who will have him while we go to work.

A few jobs are done already.
    • healthy breakfast of poached egg on toast with ham made by DH, eaten by all of us. DH then did all of the washing up including last night's which had got left
    • all of us washed and dressed
    • our bed stripped, and now bedding going through the WM
    • cats fed
    • TD emptied of stuff - about to fold it
    • WM did have wet bibs in - they are now in the TD
    • DH cleared up cat kill and brought the dustbin back to the right side of the gate
    • I have taken upstairs a big bag of maternity clothes my friend gave me yesterday, and they are now sat by the ironing board
    • DH spoke to FIL to say the new car is insured and he can pick it up
    • DH has gone to sheffield so he can buy some sand and cement, and pick up big ladders from work - we have realised the pointing?? is falling out, and needs replacing as the rain is just getting into the roof, and that is why charlie's room is so mouldy all the time -he has taken charlie with him so i can do some housework
Right, guess i should head up the stairs then and spray some stuff round in the bathroom and run the hoover round, perhaps restack some things so it looks like i have done loads rather than lounge on here.

Julie best wishes for your DH

lil-me good luck getting those presents past the kids.

need to do some more present ordering myself over the weekend.

I'm putting the kettle on if anyone want to join me.

    Morning everyone.
Such a nightmare this morning, DD away with her club thing and it was full uniform, but we have lost the tie and no white socks managed to get another tie but because she wears splints in the past we only have tights and i'm totally broke not a penny so couldn't buy socks. Heard some of the other mothers talking well wispering about her not looking exactly the same as the rest. So i'm feeling crap.

In the middle of the kids room and it's a nightmare, window sil is full of water.

Anyway better get back to it.

Julie hope your OH gets better soon.

Lil_me good luck hidding pressies. My youngest found one the other day so quickly had to shift it and i still have one in the boot of the car.:rotfl:
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
