Morning All!
Bit of a panic this morning when I woke up and it was freezing!! I thought the boiler had broken again. Problem solved when I remembered to check the card meter - yes, no gas. So, sorted it and hey presto - heating and hot water again!!
So, time to get busy. All that faffing about wasted a lot of time. I'm going to stay with a friend tonight and leaving OH and DS to have a 'boys' night so I'd like to get as much done as I can!!0 -
Friday - those frightening Friday kids rooms and spare rooms
Level One
Vacuum the floor, even if it's just where you can see (DONE)
Level Two
Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc (DONE)
Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade, curtain rails or above the door frame. (DONE)
Level Three
Strip beds and replace with fresh linen .. check if duvets need freshening up too!!(DONE)
Drag all that junk out from under the bed and deal with it as required e.g. bin, put away, wash etc(DONE)
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors (DONE)
Extra Task List
As usual pick any one or more of the following if you fancy an extra challenge today and are still alive after entering the kids rooms!!- Look in that medicine cupboard... is there anything you can fling? Is there anything you need to stock up on?
- Time for the Friday Flylady Fling, in the toy box!!!! aim for 27.. if no toy box you’ll have to choose another area!
- Clean 2 radiators or the skirting in any room of your choice!.. or you could do both!
(DONE)
- Clean any one (or more) window that needs doing (DONE)
- 30 minutes ironing (if you iron, unlike me
)
DD back and they done really well got a certificate(sp) and she's so pleased.
Right kettle boiled.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

Hello everyone!
serena, dustykitten, and shell2001 - thank you all so much for your encouragement. I'm not going to fall of the wagon, because even with the little I've done this week I can see that there's a big difference in what I need to do at the weekends. I work long days, and have had a lot of evenings out this week, so next week should be much better in that respect and I'll feel I can achieve much more.
pigpen - well done on your OFSTED - that's a brilliant result. Where will you be singing; I come up to Coventry once a year with my choir to sing at the Cathedral.
lil-me - thank you for your lovely lists - I'm already becoming reliant!
I'm not flying this weekend. I'm helping to cater for 40 tonight, as well as going to DD's Christmas Fair this afternoon, and then both of us dressing up as witches for the party. Tomorrow singing in church, and watching a matinee at DH's work in the afternoon, so my weekend's written off really.
Will be back with a vengeance on Monday!
Have a good weekend everyone.

I was right, I am not that stupid, I had ordered it for delivery yesterday (just I thought 23rd was today
) see I knew even if I was tired I wouldn't have ordered it for Saturday. I was in ALL day with the boys being off poorly apart from when I popped to the shop and DP was in then with the boys. So I've phoned, supposedly it went out with Amtrak for delivery yesterday and should have been here yesterday. How annoying! ARGH!
Right, anyway, DP is up, he's putting the new wing mirror on my car today, I need to find the paperwork for his car so we can SORN it, we've decided to to cut costs over Xmas and see how we go with one car. I can guess now that it'll become a nightmare, he'll moan that he's going to use the car and I am out, I need the car and he's busy etc. Just know it! We've always been useless at sharing a car since I passed my test.
Right time to make that lasagne, might check what I have done off the list, saying that it's not much so faranyone know where you can buy motivation in bottles? I've ran out and could really do with a top up!
One day I might be more organised...........

Afternoon.
Been to Tesco to use up some points coupons - wine ones and as we are off to friends tonight that made my choices for me.
Got some stocking fillers and christmas cards whilst there so very pleased.
Also brought some reduced ladies cheap clothing in the hope of cutting it up to make a meerkat costume for DS3 for his play - not sure of the colour though so off to google (everyclick) some picksThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Afternoon all
Two loads of washing done, I put it out for an hour this morning but then it rained so it's draped round indoors. The heating has just this minute come on so hopefully it will begin to dry now.
Not much done round the house - I made a point of dusting and hoovering yesterday so I wouldn't have to do it today.
Went to Morrisons for a few bits and got my very last present. Need to find a box to send it in the next couple of weeks but that will be OK. Might wrap it later......or might not (hate wrapping!).
That's about it.0 -
Don't know where my motivation has come from today, but i am making the most of the empty house - DH now has taken charlie to the walk in NHS clinic to get his eyes checked. Hopefully if it is conjunctivitis then we have caught it early and it won't take too long to heal. (so i have been alone since about 10:15ish.:D
I have just managed to do about an hour and a half of ironing. All of Charlie's stuff is done, and a good bit of mine. I then started putting it away, and when it came to mine i started taking out the clothes that are currently unwearable for at least the next 9 months i would guess. They are now in the boxes the maternity stuff came out of and are ready for DH to put in the loft at some point.
Then i went onto jumpers, sorting them into ones i can wear a bit longer, ones that are now too small, and fleecey type ones that will either stretch or wear undone. So they are now in the wardrobe in those piles so i can grab something warm to wear. :T
I am now a bit achey from doing so much so i think the order of the day next is a cuppa and some time to relax. Not too long though as i want the soup on the go within the next 30 minutes.
I think i fancy a glass of wine tonight. I might have a very small one with some soda water as a treat for all my effort. I won't have stopped all day.
See you all later.
corr you lot are being quiet today, or am i being too chatty?
soup is now on the go, diggerland gift voucher bought for my sister's family for xmas (thanks for that idea lil-me - owe you one), and pigsback clicks done.
DH just rang to say charlie has been seen by a dr and nurse, and has some eye drops and antibiotics. It came on quick this one. One slightly gunky eye as we washed his face this morning, and DH just said that it has not stopped weeping all day while they have been out.
On the bright side, i have achieved a lot today so i am going to give myself a little pat on the back.
Still need to do the boots order online via quidco, and ring my sister to see if she can have charlie on monday if nursery won't . I may even do some of my school work this evening as telly is bad, and wash my hair so i can chill out tomorrow and enjoy seeing the in-laws0 -
Awww poorly little Charlie, hope the stuff works soon. My DS2 used to get it all the time, seems to have stopped since he was about 3 years old but before that he had it loads. We used to give him piriton to stop him rubbing it as much, rubbing was the worst thing as used to spread. Might be worth a try with Charlie if he's allowed it.
Well done aswell Michelle, you've definately got much more motivation than me today. Also search for Boots codes, I got a 1000 bonus points one when I ordered last week spending over £50. I think it was ADCT83
Well more crossed off my list but not done everything. Boys have been sat with HM popcorn watching Pirates of the Caribbean most of the afternoon, well I say sat but DS1 been bouncing like tigger through most of it, very hyper today. He ran round screaming all morning and kept slapping me and his brother so he's been a bit of a handful.
Good news his DLA award came through today, granted at the same rate for another 3 years, here was me opening the letter with the phone in my hand expecting to have to appeal like the last two times, so happy with that. One worry over with.
Kitchen was S&S but needs doing again (because I am the messiest cook ever) , dishwasher nearly finished so will refill once I have emptied it, batch cook etc yesterday created a fair bit of washing up. Will clean Sonic out when he wakes up, save him getting grumpy with me, will vacuum after that as I will no doubt get the woodshavings all over (because I always do)
DPs Mam just called to say another lad from up here was killed today in Iraq, he was working near where she is based I think, another family without a loved one this Christmashe was only about 27, not been on the news yet but no doubt will be once his family have been informed. Puts all my moaning about being ready for Christmas in a different light, that and when looking for details of a funeral today of someone we know I seen notice of one for a little 5 day old baby. Makes me want to slap myself for being so bothered about what to buy someone when others are going through all that.
One day I might be more organised...........

Oh it is quiet.
Well done Michelle and hope Charlie's eye's clear soon.
Not doen heaps but have planned DS3 costume. Put a few bits in the loft. Moved furniture in DS1 room as he needs a desk for homwork. Looks odd now so will see what we think before we buy a desk.
Fire on. DS got different toys down from the loft so playing.
Some of DS1 homework done and spot check on 2 of his books (I am mean).
Right feed the kids and the cats. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
