thanks for those links, turned on new pc and it automatically is going into the windows set up page, so i don't know what to do. i had already put the usb stick with the smart key on in, but its just doing the set up page??

The ShowkeyPlus thing isn't that important. It is only to check if the original licence is still active, so that we could install Windows 10 Pro, as opposed to Windows 10 Home for which you have an additional key.

It won't do any harm to go through the setup, if just as a practice run for when you install Windows 10 to the SSD. You certainly cannot do any harm. Just don't bother to scratch off or to enter a key at this stage. Just choose to skip the entering of a product key when requested.

It should work as normal without the entering of a key. You'll need to skip the Internet connection part too, as you don't yet have the WiFi dongle.

Here are my suggested choices; https://fdossena.com/?p=w10debotnet/index_1809.frag or https://fdossena.com/?p=w10debotnet/index_1903.frag dependent on the version installed.

Though in your case, no need to complete anything other than is shown on the initial blue screens.

You should see these screens during the setup.
Once again, do not enter the key code Just choose to bypass that screen.
Yes you can complete in the inbuilt installation for practice, but no keycode..
You do not have to do it. It is only so that we can run ShowKeyPlus. It certainly won't do any harm to complete it and it will give you some practice for when you are installing to the SSD later anyway.

right-mouse-click on the _64 zipp and select extractall. Then it should run.

It is as gc has stated, it is to simplify the process and to prevent you from accidentally overwriting the old HDD.So we will leave it disconnected until you have completed the process.

There is one more thing I'd like you to do before beginning and that is to run ShowKeyPlus; https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/showkeyplus/9pkvzcprx9nv on the PC, and let me know if an Installed key or an OEM key is present. Take note of the key and whether there is an asterisk next to it.
No need to print the key here.
okay everywhere, there is both an installed key, and an oem key. and an oem edition. no asterisk. i have taken a photo if you require any other info. thanks
