Hi Jessy, just read through your diary and oh boy! Happy new year and happy engagement! Thrilled for you!
I might have missed it, but have you decided on whether or not to work with your brother?
Also I had no idea how good streaming was, genuinely thought it would be almost nothing until you get to the big sub numbers. Well done on building your community!
Looking forward to seeing how you do going forward!4 -
Thanks @killerpeaty, much appreciated! 🙂
My brother is not the most organised of people, so I haven't heard much more from him about it! He's basically the complete opposite of me, spending money left, right and centre, not organised and once when I was babysitting, I went in the cupboard under the sink to get out washing up liquid and saw a whole plastic bag full of receipts 😱
Streaming can be a good little earner but you have to put the hours in, which I don't always have time for, which is a shame because I really enjoy it and have met some great people from all over the world. I'm currently having a heated debate with a Russian about how good a chip butty is! 😂
Thank you for the support 🙂Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Well, we had a lovely day today. We went and did some shopping, I got myself a new pair of skechers in the sale with my Christmas money. BF got his pants and socks in the sale at M&S and boyo didn't get anything, because he's a grumpy teenager that was most displeased at having to get out of bed at 10am 😂 He did perk up when he got a burger and then an ice cream sundae at F&Bs though. The meal for all 3 of us was paid by the money given to BF by his nan to celebrate our engagement, so apart from the £1 parking, a free day out!
We did however see our managing director as we were leaving and he was going in with his daughters, which brought me back down to earth and reminded me we only have 1 day of the holidays left before going back to work. I don't hate my job like I used to but I don't want to be working for another 30 years, so I'm going to have a think about putting up my pension contributions and also putting up my contributions to an S&I account I got about 6 months ago. I'm putting in £20-£50 a month at the moment so only have a small return, I may up this to £100 a month instead. It's only a low risk one, so I'm happy to let it sit there and slowly grow.Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Your brother sounds like a nightmare client
but anyone disorganised is!
Gotta side with the Russian, I can't imagine a chip butty being a fun time. But I don't like chips!4 -
Oh killerpeaty, how can you not like chips?! 😱
Apparently, a chip butty is too many carbs, but I've managed to sway him slightly with a video of Gordan Ramsey making a posh one (He's a fan of kitchen nightmares). 😂Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Oh no, this is how I get banned from your thread! Noooooo
Ramsey could probably persuade anyone of anything, or he'll just call them an idiot sandwich.4 -
OMG, I LOVE a chip butty 😍! All that melting butter and the odd mushy pea that transfers over with the chips....😋 I have to restrict myself to one though, or I'd never manage the rest of the portion of chips!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

See KP, a chip butty is the best! 😂 Don't worry, I won't ban you. 95% of my streaming time is convincing people from other countries that British food isn't as bad as they think, so I'm used to it 😂Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Well done for being a Chip Butty Ambassador! 😂
Glad you had a nice free day out. Love how the prospect of going back to work has galvanised your financial plans!5
