Cheery_Daff said:Ooh, exciting stuff going on for you at the minute! Well done on the mortgage OPs. I'm intrigued by your slow cooker lasagna- do you just put it all in in layers and it miraculously cooks? Do you have to make the topping separately? I'm extremely unadventurous with the slow cooker, and as a veggie most things end up pretty soft and lacking in texture so lasagna would be an interesting one to try!

Thanks SC and Jess. It's going to be a interesting opportunity for sure!
Well, good old BoJo making his announcement last week means I'm allowed to work from home again. I'm glad because with going away for Christmas I don't want to pick up any bugs from anyone at work on my last week! It's also got very quiet on the order front because who wants to faff about ordering windows and doors before Christmas, so it means I can do some jobs around the house. Shush don't tell anyone!
I just have a few more presents to get which are just Amazon vouchers, so nice and easy. All other presents are wrapped up and ready to go.
I've made a list of food stuff to take with us on holiday. We want to get out for a few meals but not every meal and end up spending a fortune, so I'll be taking some tins of soup, pasta etc. with us.
Take care and stay safe xMortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Well, we made it down to Devon!!
The place is lovely and the owners had left us a nice food and drinks hamper. The dogs are loving it and so are we 😃
I also had quite the surprise when BF proposed to me! I said yes!
So now we have a wedding to save up for, although neither of us are in a rush, a forever home is the priority, but it's nice knowing he wants to be with me and I'm very happy 😃
I've also paid off another £200 off the mortgage, meaning I've reached my goal of being under £52k at the end of the year at £51,800.
The target for next year is under £47k and the super target under £45k.
I still need to get my emergency fund up so I'm aiming for at least £1,200 by the end of next year.
Another target is to get the bathroom decorated. We've already replaced the broken door handle this month but we need to box in some pipes, replace skirting board, paint and get new blinds.
Have a fantastic Christmas all x
